I didn't use the pool but it looked amazing. I loved my room and housekeeping kept me in clean towels it was wonderful. I did enjoy the Bluefin Grill. It was delicious.

You cannot charge almost $600 for that room. The shower didn't drain so we couldn't shower, there was hair on the floor, a view of the highway and a car wash, and nothing special and extra nice about it. It is shocking. The good part was that the staff was very nice!!

It was a beautiful hotel and great rooms; however, all night long I kept hearing a sound every few seconds that kept me up. We thought it was the vent and figured out the following day it was the shower head that had a drip that was causing the sound so no sleep for me. Otherwise would have given the hotel 5 stars. Smh. The room was awesome. The pool was awesome and the fact that the outside of the pool was still open this time of the year made it extra fun for my kid and all Kids that were there. Didn’t get to try the restaurant but looks real nice especially the-lobby.

The check in staff was incompetent and rude. Frontdesk receptionist charged my credit card $100 for “incidentals” when in fact the charge is a $100 DEPOSIT. She never said any of this; I discovered the charge while at dinner tonight. Additionally, when I called the front desk to ask about this, I was told that she was prepared to call me anyway because I did not pay for the room —in short, this was the worst stay, the most incompetent staff I’ve ever encountered in nearly a half century of travel around the world. On top of everything else, I had to press the manager and front desk staff to admit aloud that all questions and confusion was caused on their end by whatever disparities in communication between Expedia and this truly horrible hotel. The manager admitted this, and yet no apology whatsoever. I’ve never written a public bad review of any service. But Yelp or other forum will know about this Marriott Providence Downtown (a misnomer, by the way; downtown is a dangerous mile or so away) as the last place you’d want to lay your head. It would be much better to sleep in your car or out in the elements on the street than this dirty, wretched place. The room has a chair that has been sliced open with feathers coming out of it. It smells bad and for $332 a night (no mention that parking is $32 per night to place your car in an empty, dangerous open parking), this place should be condemned.
