generally, our stay at the Omni in Providence was lovely. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The street was a bit noisy at night but we muddled through as the location and the facility was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the coffee shop, the restaurant and the convenience store on site. All three charged exorbitant prices for basic everyday things. I paid a little higher than I would expect for coffee - so went to the lovely coffee shop across the street. But I wanted to grab a light snack form each the coffee shop and convenient store on site - there was over a 100% mark-up on each of the items. For example, a bottle of coke was $5.00; the same goes for a Luna bar. These items retail for tops $3.00 each - even that is pretty high. the standard price is about 2.50 and 1.75 respectively. I understand a bit of a mark-up but your policy of gouging your customers is despicable.

The room was disgusting. Prior guests had clearly smoked marijuana in the room. I had to have all my clothes dry cleaned when I got home because they stunk!
