After reading mixed reviews, I didn’t know what to expect. I had booked a standard King room, but upon check in we were given a back room that had a small kitchen and a back door. Did not feel comfortable with that room, but later they were able to switch us to a standard room in the front building. Looks like they have been doing upgrades since the pictures I saw, the floor, bedding and new screens were nice. Seemed decently clean. It’s an older hotel, so some fixtures show that but we expected that. We ended up having a nice stay overnight.

I don't recommend. Room#5...horrible smell. Outlet for mucrowave and fridge didn't work. Fridge smelled. Moved us to room #10...none of the lights worked. Not one. Room #9 was ok but not clean. When I advised the staff of room 5 shecwas ok but when I came back to tell her the lights didn't work in #10 she gave out a big sigh as if I was bothering her. Sorry but I like working lights. This place needs an overhaul.

This place was nothing like the photos online. Absolute SCAM! The bedsheet was nasty, smelly, and covered with hair and small trash, so we had to sleep on top of the bed cover and use our own blanket. We even put our clothes on the pillowcase to avoid touching it. The bathroom was dirty, and there were only a few napkins and toilet paper, so we had to use our own. We also heard mouse noises coming from the kitchen cabinets and had to block the door with a blanket to keep them out, which made the room cold since the heater couldn’t reach us. Overall, the whole place was filthy, smelly, cold, and misleadingly advertised.

Table wobbly.some electric outlets did not work.had to go to another hotel to check-in. Shower was hard to adjust. Easy to get to park but farther than expected. There were several restaurants nearby and room rate very inexpensive.

Wall outlets by the sink area in the back of roo. just outside the bathroom was not working so we had to move the microwave, coffee maker, and frig towards the front of room which was a hassle. Min staffing so rooms were not cleaned eveyday. Location is great since it's 5 mins drive from Sequoia National Park entrance.

There were mice in the room. We saw them behind/under the TV cabinet. Upon further inspection, we opened the 3 drawers of the cabinet and found feces in an abundant amount in all 3 drawers. We immediately left the room and cut our stay short.

Met our needs

Our room was dirty and dusty but the bed was clean and comfortable. The coffee maker, microwave and remote did not work. I had to clean when we checked in. But the staff at the desk rectified everything else right away. The location was great, close to Sequoia with food options close by. Very pretty spot.

Sad property! The parking lot and area around the building was full of trash. There were piles of garbage at the back and side of the building. Upon letting the office know of our concern of an obvious party area we requested a refund. The request was denied and we left the property. We also noted that a long row of what looked like white hotel towels were hanging on a chain link fence. Driving by the following morning on our way to the park we again saw that the garbage had not been cleaned up. Very disappointed in this property as it was so conveniently located to the park entrance.

This place was so cute. My husband and I stayed here for just one night but we enjoyed the convenience to Sequoia National Park. It was literally minutes to the park entrance! There was a little convenience store with a deli in it next door that we walked to for takeout dinner. That food was delicious. This place is an adorable little gem.

We stayed in the 2 room cottage. The place smelled horrible. I should have asked to look at the room before paying. I thought it would be ok since the reviews were positive. We used the book now pay later option through Expedia. The place is creepy and looks like a horror movie setring from 30 years ago. I would like to add that im not a picky person. I live in a rural area, with lots of dirt and animals. We were 3 adults and 1 toddler. One of the adults was a senior, so we could not pick up and go so easily. Each time we tried to reach out to the owner he wasnt available. We would walk to the front office and make the attempt, with no sucess. The walls are connected to the laundry area, for cleaning staff. All night we could hear the loud beeping sounds. That was really annoying, but that wasn't the worse thing. We kept hearing noises just to discover rodents were running around. Everywhere you looked there was droppings. One morning I got up to grab my phone. As I was doing this I seen the mouse run over the keys of the ancient piano, and run into the fireplace. I'm sure this was the normal route. The bathtub in the bathroom, would not drain. Not once were the trash cans emptied, and we had to ask for towels. We paid a little less than $1k for a nightmare. The trash outside was all scattered throughout or stay. This was not our trash, and was never picked up by anybody. Traps were all around the inside, so they are aware on the infestation. None of us could sleep well.

Location to Sequoia Natl Park was great. It was a long way to Kings Canyon not convienient at all. The room was clean but very dated. The electrical outlets did not work next to the sink with microwave.

This property was in the perfect area in a cute little town, but it has not been updated in a very long time. The room smelled terrible and the towels smelled and appeared to be dirty. The beds and bedding were adequate. The drop off box was not secure when we checked out and anyone could’ve come in and taken those keys.

Picked the location despite the reviews. You could see a few signs of care - nice floors, screen doors, but overall, the place was depressing and used. Towels were like car wash rags, bed was uncomfortable, parking lot was filled with trash. None of it makes sense when you have a location minutes outside Sequoia NP.
