Very clean and comfortable rooms that are displaced from the main lodge. The main lodge has an excellent bar and dining room. It also has a well stocked shop that will meet all your requirements. The main positive is the lodges outstanding and unique location within Sequoia NP - there is no better place to stay to explore the wonders of this very special place!!

Very old amenities (which is not a problem per se), hard to sleep because of very worn mattress and lots of noise coming from other rooms (not because of noisy neighbours but because of no sound insulation and very old structure). Food at lunch was terrible, we ordered two sandwiches (over $16 each) and were served two cold ones wrapped in aluminium foil and prepared the day before. Food quality at dinner also pretty poor. Breakfast was ok. Overall the place it’s very far from being how it’s depicted in pictures and on the website, it’s very far from being worth what it costs but I guess it’s the only lodge there so they can afford to do that.

Wonderful Spot in the Park

Great location. The restaurant was really nice and the whole set up of the lodge was awesome. Would go back in warmer weather. Rooms are a little outdated but very clean and comfortable.

Although the rooms are showing a little of their ageit's a great place to stay if you want close access to Sequoia NP. Parking is close by and a very popular restaurant (booking advised is a short walk or by car.

Great place to stay in Sequoia NP and close to Great hikes (Tokopah Falls, Congress, Big Trees, and other trails). A bit understaffed, as the NPs are struggling with this administration, but all the staff we’re doing their best.

Parking was far from room, had to lug bags a very long distance even though a road access could be used for baggage dropoff. Some staff members were very rude, didn't seem to want to be there. Buildings need attention, very rundown. Location was good.

This was a visit of two halves. The accommodation was very good: the room was large and clean with a view of the forest. The restaurant, on the other hand was poor. I have an intolerance to lactose and was assured my meal had no cheese yet contained chunks of soft cheese. Also, they could not provide any plant based milk at all. On the first night, we could not get a table in the restaurant, yet hadn’t been advised to book, particularly as it is an hours drive to a restaurant. In the restaurant, our waiter was slapdash and just couldn’t be bothered. We thought he was new and yet he had been working there for years. When he put our drinks down on the table, he slopped them everywhere and said, oh well, that’s why it’s on a napkin.

Fantastic location. Good rooms. Hard to get a dinner booking. Limited choice breakfast. Booked guests should be emailed in advance to book dinner if there is likely to be an issue as there is is nowhere else around in the Park instead.

Mini bar

The hotel looks wonderful, all the staff was very kind and helping. The only thing that wete problem is the mini bar, thers some items (snaks) outside the fridge and you sould know thet it part of the mini bar altough its not wrote anywhere. So if the kids took out by mistake you immediate charge even though i put it back...
