Cute cedar modem right on the lake with beautiful gardens. Lovely reception staff with Good local knowledge Easy walk to shopping, restaurants and cafes. Great place to stop on your way to Milford sound.

We had a wonderful stay. The studio was extremely clean and very comfortable. It had all the amenities that we needed. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The on-site laundry was fabulous too. A great place to stay if you’re planning to do a trip to Milford Sound. Highly recommend!

Very clean and well looked after. It is like staying in someone's home. The furniture and fittings are old-fashioned but very comfortable, especially the recliner lounge chairs. There is a kitchenette equipped with a bar fridge, toaster, microwave, jug and cooktop. The manager made us feel welcome. Although the rooms do not have water views as they face the side street, the cabins are in a great location directly across the road from the lake. We walked each night beside the lake and just enjoyed the tranquility and beautiful scenery. It is also quite close to the tourist office (Real N.Z.) where you can board the boat to take you on the Glow-worm Cave tour. There is also a seaplane there for flights over Milford or Doubtful Sound. This is a comfortable and affordable place to stay which allows you to prepare some meals and has a laundry with washing machine and dryer which is also handy if you are on an extended holiday.
