We enjoyed this room and property, very nicely laid out and spacious and very clean. However we felt the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and should be replaced. That may just be unit 18 though.

A very pleasant hotel. The lake view at the door and the greenery make me feel like I am in a landscape painting. If I have the opportunity to go to Te Anau next time, I will definitely choose it again.

Really nice hotel. Walk into town was quick. Hotel was perfect for a nights stay. We did one night in order to go to Milford Sound the following day, which was a lovely trip. The only thing I would say is that Te Anau is very quiet and in hindsight we might have stayed in Queenstown and taken the (very long!) bus trip to Milford Sound from Queenstown and by passed staying in Te Anau. Parking at the hotel was free and plentiful. View from room was stunning. Staff were nice. Room basic, but fine. Perfect one night stay. We ate at a restaurant called Ditto, which is walkable and nice. Hotel kindly let us keep the car in their car park after we had checked out and did our day trip.

The property was exactly as described. Rooms are basic, but well maintained & comfortable. The staff is pleasant. Property is easily walkable to the main town center with shops/cafes. The lake view is unbeatable. Served as a nice location to adventure on Doubtful & Milford Sound.

Holiday apartment had a well- appreciated heated drying rack, as we arrived in rainstorm. Efficient, has all you need. Staff super helpful- I left a book and came back a couple days later and it was neatly logged in a book and cheerfully returned. Location on lake is really helpful. Laundry was easy. It was just what we needed.

Great hotel, lovely staff that were flexible with check in and check out times. Wonderful location on lake front and close to town. Only negative WiFi was poor, kept disconnecting and flaky logging on, but had exactly same problem in two restaurants, so it’s probably a local provider issue.

Lake front view

Our room has lake front view. Parking lot is cleverly on the back so I think most rooms had lake view. It is easy walking distance to restaurants. There is a walking path along the lake.

3 nights. Did Kepler trail - beautiful. Went to Milford. Fantastic drive. Lovely views over lake. MUST BOOK RESTAURANTS - te Anau has lots of accommodation but not enough eateries .

Lovely Stay in Te Anua

Tha Lakeside offered spacious accommodation and was meticulously clean. Very well furnished apartment. Beautiful views over the lake. Excellent laundry facilities . Our favourite stay in New Zealand. Very convenient for restaurants.
