Nice hotel & great location. Woman at reception told me my room wasnt ready before i told her my name when i arrived an hour before check in, which didnt feel v welcoming!

I really liked the location and bar area. Dining room menu very limited so we dined out. I did not like how small our room was or lack of storage space. Room not well designed with wood and metal rail and open shelves, giving little space for clothes or personal items. Little bathroom storage. Form over function I felt. Chose not to have our room cleaned during our stay because there was no where to put our stuff out of the way.

Great place to stay.

We enjoyed an excellent break here with all facilities matching expectations. The trip was spoilt somewhat by unbelievably noisy neighbours who we had to call reception out to at4.30 a.m.Not the fault of the hotel, who managed it as best they could, but it does highlight the poor sound insulation between these ‘deluxe “ rooms.

Perfect location

Lovely little hotel ( esp at the price ) right on the canal and walking distance from the town centre. Room was not massive but big enough and clean. Staff were friendly Spa is a nice little extra.. only downside was that changing area could do with cleaning more regularly as there was a lot of hair on the floor, and steam sauna had plastic cups lying around. But in general it was a good. I would definitely recommend if you want a good priced place to stay close to town

The staff and position were good but we had a problem with the bathroom, nowhere to put or hang up towels etc and then the shower malfunctioned and was far far too hot but no control over cold water. had i been in the bath i would have been scalded. we were given an upgrade but even here the room had problems with the window. sad this hotel could have been top notch if they were more aware of problems in the rooms

Great location at a reasonable price

Great location for discovering Chester. Facilities are nice - but you can’t relax by the pool, a few plastic chairs only no sun loungers. Breakfast was nice although I’m not sure about pre-cooked toast …. a bit hard and dry. Nice bar area - would be nice to have a drink with a canal view.

Nice Hotel

Staff are wonderful. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into town. The room was extremely hot, window only opened slightly, no A/C The bar could do with more ambience, felt a bit like an airport lounge. Maybe dim the lights, a few plants and put candles on tables. Really annoying having to pay for parking £28 for two nights, however that seems to be most English hotels in towns. Overall I would go back.
