Wonderful hotel, especially with our VIP Perk upgrade. Our room was one of the best we've ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully laid out. The whole hotel is very attractive, and the staff were great. Breakfast is expansive, with a host of Western and Eastern foods available. There's something for everyone, and the coffee is good with enough machines to prevent queuing.

The front desk service was excellent. The staff kindly provided a small cake upon learning it was our birthday, which was a very thoughtful gesture. However, the sound insulation in the room could be improved. We could clearly hear doors opening and closing loudly in neighboring rooms, as well as people passing by the door. The breakfast selection was less varied than expected, with a heavy emphasis on bread and pastry items. That said, guests who enjoy baked goods would likely be satisfied. The dining area itself was very pleasant and comfortable. Overall, we appreciated the attentive service and comfortable dining environment, though there is room for improvement regarding room noise isolation and breakfast variety. Thank you for the stay.

Technology may have to improve

Wifi was not connected to internet since mid-night. But my wife was able to use it when her first attempt. I bet it was because I used login to use wifi before mid-night, and was out and back after mid-night. TV box restarted itself when I was watching live football. Breakfast was good but hot meat choices are recommended to increase.

This was our 3rd trip to this hotel, but our first since China had reopened to American visitors. Two of the three restaurants have closed and not reopened. The outside bar and vip area was closed. The outside pool was closed. The wait staff spoke poor or no English and the menu was severely limited. At Maro more than half the food was unavailable and their drink menu was almost non existent. The staff spoke little English. The front desk staff was kind and rooms were nice. I hated to see this property go down hill so badly. Now we will have to find somewhere else to stay at our next visit. :(
