The Little Brave House is a spare cabin. The description was a bit unclear about how minimal the amenities are.
There is a propane heater which we did not use as we were instructed to bring our own propane.
We understood that there would be electricity. Upon arrival, we could not turn on lights. We contacted the owner through VRBO and were told about a switch in the electrical unit. I’m not sure we would have found that without a sign on the wall pointing it out. Yay!
We had planned to have dinner and breakfast and had purchased instant foods that could be “cooked” by adding hot water. We tried to plug in our electric tea kettle but an alarm sounded, so we were not able to make hot water~ so no cup of soup for dinner nor coffee the following morning.
The out house was difficult to access as the door did not slide open easily. Once inside, may we suggest a bucket under the port a potty lined with a plastic bag to collect waste? There was nothing but the seat. From the description, we knew the cabin was spare. We didn’t expect it to be so challenging to stay warm, to eat warm food and to attend to bathroom needs. The WiFi was very strong!
