Quick anniversary get away staff was very nice and lobby area clean we walked the boardwalk and ate at Catch seafood server was rude but food was good. You must try Draftwood Kitchen about 2 blocks from hotel serve breakfast-dinner food and staff was amazing. Con’s Pool needs to cleaned nightly lots of sand rooms need updating carpet needs to be replaced

We’ve stayed at this location twice. Large room with plenty of space. Convenient walk to the beach. Great pools. Room Service was nonexistent as far as replacing towels and emptying the trash. Had to request towels two days in a row and finally had to complain on the third day. Outside tables at the Square Whale had trash around them everyday.

The bathroom had mold. The towel rack had awful water stains. The bathroom door had water stains. The floor wasn’t clean. The toilet tank top didn’t fit and was chipped. There was dry blood stains on one of the bed comforters. The wallpaper was peeling in all the rooms. The living room had whole in the wall. The soap dispenser completely fell off the wall, the first night. It appeared that someone tried to glue it to the wall unsuccessfully. In addition, we had a fly problem in our room. The was awful experience.

It is an older hotel but they did not keep the main pool clean. It was cloudy and had trash floating in it daily. Our room had mold on the ceilings and housekeeping was limited to fresh towels and taking out the trash. The floors needed to be vacuumed & swept daily due to being at the beach with sand. Positive is the location of the hotel.

The hotel is at the beginning of the boardwalk and we needed to take the trolly to get to desired locations. We liked how there was a parking garage. The pool was noisy and full of kids tracking in sand from the beach. The beach area across from the hotel was nice and less busy than other locations.

Honest family review

The hotel is actually better than I expected, however the parking is tight and minimal and they charge. The elevators are really slow and are the smallest hotel elevators that I've ever been on. The balcony for the suite is really small but the view is great. The location on the strip is great for families, because it's not as busy as the south end of the beach.

Positives- excellent location on the boardwalk, oceanfront, at 39th St, the beginning (or end) of the boardwalk. The trolley stops right outside of the hotel as well, and was only $4.50 to ride all day. Also, staff were friendly and provided excellent customer service (except for the bar.) The hotel was very clean. There are a few pools and a poolside bar that are nice. I liked the hotel room. It was a large suite with 2 queen beds in one room, and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Both rooms were separated by the bathroom, which provided privacy for everyone. At the bar, there was music and fun games hosted by staff. Negatives- My first morning there, I ate at the hotel restaurant, The Square Whale. After finishing my breakfast, I returned to my hotel room where I threw up all of the food. I was sick for the rest of the day. I went to management, but they told me that because I was alone, there was nothing they could do. They only gave me 50% off of a meal that made me sick all day. Additionally, bar service was extremely slow. At first, my friend and I waited 15 minutes for drinks. We were even ignored by the bartender at one point. The hotel elevators are an issue. They are both very hot, smelly, and slow. The doors also close too fast and you will either miss the elevator or have the doors slam on you. The balcony door is too hard to open and close. Staff werenot knowledgeable about the trolleys when I asked. We enjoyed the Hilton @ 31St better.

It all started with the check in process- the front desk woman was impatient, on her phone and didn’t know how to type in a credit card number. There were no luggage carts, the elevators were extremely slow, hallways were extremely hot, hot tub was out of order, our shower had hair and sand in it upon arrival, we had to pay to park at the hotel lot, the AC in the room did not work well. All around terrible experience. We will not be returning!

Family trip and a family dip

The look of the hotel is like the others. The 3 pools give you a lot of options for space and let me little one have a blast. some of the best location for beach access as its a little slower and less crowded then what you would find around south beach. The rooms though, looked to still be hanging onto the early 2000’s. The dresser had damage and the carpet looks like it should be redone in the next year or 2. Over all like the hotel and it was great for me, wife and 3 year old. Would have liked for it to be more modern and clean.

The propert is located on the beach at the North end of the boardwalk. It is a convenient and quiet area of Virginia Beach. The property is well maintained with a large staff that are friendly and cordial. The 3 pools are clean and towels are plentiful. The buffet breakfast is a very good deal if it is part of your stay package. It has very good service. The site has a theater with movies running most of the day with free popcorn (great perk). One area needing improvement is the daily 3 - 5pm happy hour. It says 1/2 price appetizers and $5 beer, wine, and well drinks. 1/2 price is 1/2 size and the well is the well. Be aware of this. Would I stay here again, absolutely yes. Great location, nice property, friendly staff, and comfortable and clean rooms.

Holiday inn and suites north Virginia beach

Check in was a little stressful! Once we got there we had to pay an additional $80 for a security deposit that wasn’t listed on the website or app. So have to wait for that to get back to my account. But over all the hotel was a great pick. Would stay there again now that I know about the extra charge!!
