Clean room, my only complaint is bed placement vs slider/ window. If the bed was placed on the opposite wall, the neighbor wouldn’t be able to step onto their balcony and look right into someone in the bed. Not much privacy with the curtains open.

I considered this an overpriced, "motel". It had no elevator for a third floor room, no daily maid service, peeling wallpaper, no info on neighboring restaurants only those in town. Had to request fresh towels and replenished coffee supplies. Nice grounds along the cliffs but parking was charged for. Will make a different choice in the future.

The Hotel was good. We did have some guests upstairs who woke us up in the middle of the night at 2:30, and they startled us. Actually, I was nervous about saying anything directly to them as they were extremely loud. Not sure why no one asked them to be quite at that time of the morning. Other than that we did enjoy our stay.

The hotel is in a great location on the water. The rooms could use updating, starting with the carpet. The firepits outside are a nice touch and the area surrounding the property is nice and convenient. Overall good stay.

I had came in ealry just to see if my room was ready and the lady rudly responded no all rooms will be ready at 4 not earlier so of course i went in at about 3 and i see her checking in another family and when i went up the other was so sweet and kindly let me check in ealier vecause there was rooms available. I've never had someone act so rude just by asking if my room was ready

staff and service were good, but the system was inconvenient. For example, it is very inconvenient for a hotel to not give an invoice when checking in or checking out because the guest made a reservation through Expedia and they do not know the room rate. This is what makes guests anxious.

Great place to stay next to coast.

I've stayed here several times & the Spyglass is just above the beach but it is above a bluff so you need to walk to the beach below. Great sunsets. Spyglass Inn is central to Five Cities area, San Luis Obispo & Santa Maria area so you can access highway 101 to any locations easily. The Spyglass inn restaurant is closed & being re-modeled now as the original owners retired in November 2024 so new owner & the reopening at a unknown date as of October 9, 2025. I highly recommend Spyglass Inn for any stays in the Pismo Beach & Central Coast Area.
