The front desk staff was welcoming, and it's a nice touch having coffee, tea and water in the lobby as well as offering afternoon cookies. Unfortunately, the room was old and outdated, including the shower. The bed was very uncomfortable too, and our building had no elevator, which was inconvenient due to a recent injury to carry luggage upstairs. Also, the jacuzzi was a little dirty and the saunas were barely warm. The breakfast was great on Sunday, and the staff in the 2nd dining area was very friendly and helpful! On Monday we had to go to the main dining area and noticed there were some items missing that had previously been offered. The worker didn't speak, was barely seen and inattentive to things like refilling the water, but quick to clear the items promptly at 9:30.

The property was nice, the pool and the spa were great. We had a good time, except the first night because the people upstairs on the second floor we making a lot of noise. We were on the first floor room 110. I told the front desk and they moved me to another room on the second floor instead. That room was better, quite and better bedding.

The place was absolutely beautiful from its building structure to its interior designs. The place was also very clean, the visitors also staying were great company. Cookies and coffee in the lobby from 4-6 PM, free breakfast from 6:30 - 9:30 AM :3 The staff were very attentive and helpful. One of our key cards weren't working from a night out, and the front office clerk was very helpful at redoing our key cards for us. I would stay at this place again!

Nice getaway

This is a lovely hotel. Beautiful Spanish architecture, manicured grounds and well appointed rooms. Breakfast was certainly adequate with several choices. We would definitely stay here again.

By far the best hotel, breakfast is fire, the pool and spa is a great low key place to chill with kiddos, and the hotel is beautiful.

Great price, ideal location and worth a stay

The hotel is a lot nicer than the majority of more expensive hotels in SLO but off the beaten path. I would have rated it 5 stars except the breakfast area was soooooo crowded and small. I think that needs to change, I’m not sure how but it’s borderline hazardous, like is there an occupancy limit for fire safety? I didn’t even get breakfast the 2nd day because of how crazy it felt. The pool was open which was nice but there was a lot of calcium build up on the waterfall. Maybe it’s just off season so it hasn’t been cleaned yet. The rooms were clean, ours wasn’t as nice as the ones I see on the pitcures here but not horrible. There were no outlets next to the bed which was annoying. No alarm clock or anything. The bed was comfy. There were stores nearby and places to eat which was nice. Like literally across the street. Also, when we were packing to leave we had like 5 mins to checkout and someone was knocking on our door? Really? At 10:55? Like that seemed kinda rude. We were clearly getting ready to leave and had our stuff packed up and we think we’re making good time and then get interrupted to ask if we’re leaving? Uhhh yeah check the room in 5 mins and you’ll see it’s empty? Is it really efficient to send someone door to door right before checkout? That I wasn’t a fan of and felt rushed when I was going to be out by 11 anyway. Also when we called the front desk 3x while we were out and about to see if the pool was open, they didn’t answer.

We have stayed before and really like this hotel. We did have a bit of a hiccup this time around. Our adult son decided after we had already booked the room that he would like to go with us (a family outing with daughter and her fiancé). Expedia's website stated that rollaway beds were available. The hotel's own website stated that rollaway beds were available. My wife called ahead while we were travelling that rollaway beds were available. When we got there they said we couldn't have a rollaway bed in our room type (king bed room) and offered no solution for us (the hotel was booked full). We had to buy a cheap air mattress and sleeping bag so our son had a place to sleep. Other than that our stay was very pleasant.

Clean and comfortable

Best western has the most cleanest and most comfortable beds there is. There was no noisy neighbors and the decor of its establishment is Spanish style which is in my taste gorgeous.
