Best place in San Diego

Loved it, this is the only place we stay at when we visit San Diego. Just booked our next trip for next month. The room was beautiful

The Bldg.1 parking structure is not safe and my car was vandalized after I first drove in to park. In the time it took me to go get a parking permit ticket at the front desk to put on the car windshield, someone took a pry bar and pryed off the car emblem and damaged the trunk lid of my car. I did not feel safe when I drove in and felt someone must have been following me when I drove in to park. I reported it to the hotel staff right away after I noticed it and they took an incident report. They concluded, that they do not have any cameras on the inside of the parking areas are not responsible for any damages to vehicles. They said to submit the damage claim to my insurance. They later comped me the cost of parking. This is the second time my car has been damaged in the same Bldg. 1 parking structure, approx. 5 years ago. The hotel does not have any protection for cars parking in their parking garages with adequate lighting and surveillance systems, etc. At the high cost of $39.00 per day to park you would think they would have better protection systems in place to help protect the people and vehicles.

Loved the property. It’s perfect and fitting for Old Town San Diego. The property is also located with in walking distance to all the restaurants and shops in Old town. Nice to not have to find parking and just be able to walk.

The hotel was close to many different shops and restaurants. You could also find activities to do with family such as the history of Old Town, Haunted Whaley House, and historical Victorian buildings. Plus is that the hotel has a restaurant on the property. Breakfast buffet was delicious and while as dinner. After 10pm the area is quiet and beautiful views from anywhere in the hotel.

About a 10 minute walk from the trolley. Lots of restaurants near by to eat and some convenience stores. The hotel is split into different sections so depending what building number you are in, you may have to walk a bit more. The breakfast was decent for it's price. The only negative thing was the gym, it was small, hot and there's barely any equipment.

Its a huge and old complex on various levels that's not easy to get around...especially when you have knee issues.

At checkin, advised I had 2 reservations and cancellation of 2d room required one nights rent. Upon further discussion fee was dropped. Room was noisy. Parking was additional $25/day, although restaurant parking was free. Haven’t received a bill, although I notice further pending charge on my credit card.

I liked the palm trees. I did not like 9 buildings, we were 3 flooors up, took us 45 minutes to find our room. Hard to park. Phone did not work the whole time. Ac did not get cold, i asked for a fan. Coffee pot did not work and since phone did not work I had to go to front desk for a coffee pot that worked. Also got a room 121 for son that graduated marine corp. His coffee pot did not work either. Would I stay again. Absolutely not!

The Hacienda Hotel is in incredible location if you’re visiting San Diego. It’s reasonably close to everything and the old town neighborhood itself is well worth visiting and spending some time. I think the hotel was a terrific value. Kids had a great time in the pool facility were clean and well maintained. I was really happy there.

Our trip was a blast due to the great set up at the hotel, great spot for vacationers. Great area for acessing any part of San Diego or even Cali with the closeness of the freeways
