The exterior is charming and location is fantastic. Right next to heritage park and a block away from classic Mexican dining options and shopping. The room was VERY outdated. The bathtub looked like it was from the 70s or 80s. My room was also noisy.

Old building but lovely area

It’s an old building which comes with sound infiltrating walls and ceilings. So much noise throughout the night from neighbors… and the airport and nearby trains. The bathroom doors are pocket doors and one was pretty broken. Otherwise the pool was wonderful and the view was great. The neighborhood was quaint and the location was great.

Grandson’s NCAA GAME at The Golden Gymnasium.

The hotel was a great place to stay. It is located right in the heart of Old Town San Diego. So much to see and do right across the street! The restaurant on site, Old Town Tequila Factory, is a must to go dine. The food was excellent! I had the Baja fish taco plate. The margaritas are on point. I got the Fiesta Verde, soooo good, I got two! Why not, my room was just a tiny walk away. Every thing was very reasonable. Overall everything from the staff (including at the restaurant was excellent). If ever I’m in that area again this hotel will be my first choice.

Cool property but showing its age. Original manager was excellent getting me an arrival. Front desk upon arrival was miserable and said she didn’t have a room yet, then after being questioned, found one.

Convenient hotel

The 24/7 staffed front desk was a bonus for weather related late arrival. All staff were kind and friendly. They had multiple suggestions for our to do list and also requested we give feedback on any places/activities to have info for future visitors. This hotel is with an easy walking distance on level ground to tour Old Town. Also within easy walking distance to Old Town MTS hub. Purchasing the Pronto card gave us easy transportation to La Jolla, Seaport Village, GasLamp 1 Quarter etc. the Old Town Trolley with multiple available tours and stops is also close and very convenient.

Excellent proximity to Old Town. Room was dated and odd. Had a bedroom and separate “kitchen” area. There was no table though and chairs were very uncomfortable. Noisy heater/AC
