Building has lots of character. Our room overlooked the Riverwalk where we could sit on the balcony with a drink and people watch - felt like we were part of the action while relaxing in our own space. Very convenient to restaurants, river cruises and nightlife. I would suggest skipping valet parking and spending way less by parking across the street for $10/night.

Loved our balcony overlooking the Riverwalk and the view of the Skyline of Downtown San Antonio. Close to the ticket office and departure to the River cruise boats. The staff was great. The only thing I could come up with that was negative is the elevators were a little slow but they worked fine.

A great hotel in a perfect area, right on the riverwalk. The hotel has a lot of history, was really well kept, and interesting to be in. The staff, especially those that I interacted with at the front desk are top notch! They couldn’t be more helpful or friendly. They made the stay great. My wife and I had drinks one night at el colegio, the hotel bar/coffee shop, and was very surprised that our Tito’s and cranberry doubles were $30 a piece. I could’ve bought a whole bottle for that price. The cost of that is the only thing that would tarnish a stay here. But if expected it could easily be remedied. I recommend this hotel for a stay in you want to be near the riverwalk.
