The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was very kind. I had left another hotel in a hurry and was very happy to find this location. Great food nearby and am always very appreciative of free parking! Im increasingly frustrated with parking fees at chain hotels that only charge for parking in their own lots because they can. I was working downtown Sacramento and it was an easy commute.

Nice place with a pretty central location. Lots of options for breakfast, nothing hot like eggs or hashrbrowns but muffins, bagels, toast, fruit, waffles. Very happy with our recent stay.

We had a nice one night stay here. Hotel property was pretty good and the continental breakfast was decent. Everything is dated but clean and very good for the price. I would definitely stay again.

Mum and I were staying in Sacramento for a few nights, as part of a wide tour of West Coast USA. Governors Inn was a great base for our purposes. We had a vehicle and were situated close to main highways, making it easy to get to, and only a few minutes out of Old Sacramento and lots of great restaurants. Free parking was available for guests. Check-in and check-out were easy. The only staff we encountered were friendly. Rooms were spacious, of good quality and clean. The ONLY reason I haven't given this an overall 5-star rating is because of the breakfast. They do let you know that breakfast service has been reduced due to staff shortages but you're really dealing with some pre-wrapped sweet pastries, fruit, bread (which you will struggle to toast) and juice. We only had breakfast at the hotel once, for this reason. It wouldn't stop me staying there again but I want to set expectations (although I hope they also find the staff they need soon 😊)
