Mum and I were staying in Sacramento for a few nights, as part of a wide tour of West Coast USA. Governors Inn was a great base for our purposes. We had a vehicle and were situated close to main highways, making it easy to get to, and only a few minutes out of Old Sacramento and lots of great restaurants.
Free parking was available for guests.
Check-in and check-out were easy.
The only staff we encountered were friendly.
Rooms were spacious, of good quality and clean.
The ONLY reason I haven't given this an overall 5-star rating is because of the breakfast. They do let you know that breakfast service has been reduced due to staff shortages but you're really dealing with some pre-wrapped sweet pastries, fruit, bread (which you will struggle to toast) and juice. We only had breakfast at the hotel once, for this reason. It wouldn't stop me staying there again but I want to set expectations (although I hope they also find the staff they need soon 😊)
