We arrived late. Hotel was under construction and was dirty. Receptionist was not friendly.

Wish we had known it was under construction!
So, it was under construction. We had a 6:00 AM flight, around 11:30PM to 2:30 AM there was the sound of hammers, saws, and heavy footsteps from the room above. At checkout the guest services said "no there wasn't! We would have heard them." I asked if she was in our room on the second floor? With the construction they were only putting guests on the 1st and 2nd floor. She said no. She stated the construction was to end at 5:30 but they were known to sneak in the side door and go back to work. She added she would tell the manager. I wish they could have restored our sleep.

There was no indication prior to arrival that they were going through a substantial remodel and didn't have an available lobby. The breakfast is temporarily in two guest bedrooms, worst ever experienced. They served cheap microwave burritos (no options without pork or meat), cerael without milk, and bagels with no butter or cream cheese. The room was lovely, would just expect communication and compensation for the temporary compromises to quality you expect from Fairfield due to remodel.
