Clean and Adequate but Lacking
The location was convenient to public transportation. The sleeping accommodations were comfortable and the room was spacious and clean; however, the street noise just outside our window made sleeping soundly difficult. There was also a common kitchenette area outside our door, and we could hear everything every time another guest was using that area. The shower was small; my husband said it felt like washing in a phone booth. The shower also did not drain adequately, so we were forced to shut off the shower between washing and rinsing for several minutes to allow the water to sloooooowly drain and to avoid overflowing the shower pan. The drain really needs addressed, as it made showering unpleasant. IMO, expand the shower to something more modern and spacious and ditch the bidet. (Does anyone ever really use those things anymore?)
Also, I didn’t really appreciate the host attempting to “sell” me an app, even after I messaged him that we were not using cellular data on our trip. And it would be much better if Hotels.com collected all the taxes at booking rather than being hit up for cash for city taxes upon check-in.
