My stay at Wyndham Altra was overall pretty good, but there were several disappointing aspects that affected the experience. One major letdown was that the water park and lazy river were under construction during our visit, so we didn’t have access to them—something we had really looked forward to. Dining options were also underwhelming. Out of the four advertised restaurants, only one or two were open each day. The dinner buffet, in particular, lacked variety and often had many empty stations during the weekdays. Only on Saturday did the buffet feel fully stocked and worth the visit. While most of the staff were generally friendly, the service became noticeably less pleasant when asking for additional food. On multiple occasions, requests for more food were met with judgment or outright refusal, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and, frankly, still hungry. Some staff members even ignored us altogether, which made the experience feel unwelcoming—especially for guests who don’t have very small appetites. Overall, while the resort has potential, the limited amenities and inconsistent service were disappointing and detracted from what could have been a much better stay.

The Employee LUIS who works on check in was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. The property itself was good and dining options was good too. People who worked in buffet and restaurants were very friendly.

Wouldn’t stay again. Food options were very poor. Drinks are extremely watered down. Service is poor, no one speaks English so ordering is difficult and they are hounding you to take your plates. Made it quite uncomfortable. Very poor cleanliness. Bathrooms were always filled with dirty toilet paper, cleaners wouldn’t start until 10am (that should be done first thing in the morning before guests start waking up, not during busy hours), no paper towels in any of the bathrooms, and many soap dispensers out. Also noticed a hibachi guy drop knives then keep it going.

This resort was perfect for us and our 3 kids. Relatively quiet, lots of space at the pool. It was very clean and staff were very helpful.

Toilet in both mine and a friend of mines room randomly stopped working and the tv in my room stopped working properly one night, other than that i enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Great amenities, good selection of restaurants to eat at and the staff were absolutely amazing. It’s a bit on the quieter side so i would definitely recommend for like a couples retreat but overall i’d stay here again

Every staff member was polite and helpful. The place was kept clean at all locations of the resort. It has been a pleasure to stay at Wyndham and I hope it won’t sell since I was aware that the resort has been thru 4 owners already

40 minutes drive away from PUJ airport. Very new and clean facilities. Great pool and beachfront. Very attentive and friendly staff! We ran into a few problems (key card didn’t work, toilet stopped flushing) but they were very quick to help us. An overall great experience.

Gorgeous property. My kids love the pool and the beach. Everything is walkable and easy access. I love that i didn't have to reserve dining spots and that it was all-inclusive. The food was excellent. Great place to take your family.
