Great place to stay! All inclusive option was excellent and the variety of the restaurants (room service also included!!!) and bar service/options were perfect. Family friendly activities during day and evening, quiet at 11pm was most appreciated! Temperature was perfect and the towels were new, fluffy and very clean! A great resort with everything!

The hotel needs a major renovation. Bathrooms are very old. Elevators did not work. We had an all inclusive access. On average waited for food for 45 mins plus. Staff is friendly enough and so their best. But they short staffed. Most nights, only 1-2 restaurants out of 5 are working. The crepe bar is a joke. I would not recommend it to anyone unless it’s super discounted stay.

Overall it was an enjoyable stay for one night. Some positives: nice size room, cute colorful decor in one of our rooms, bonus to have balconies, fun atmosphere for those partaking in the buffet dinner, good pool and fun slide for the kids, pretty beach area, lovely setting sitting outside the seafood restaurant for dinner Needs some improvement: our check in took forever and the staff member was not communicative (maybe a language barrier?), only one restaurant open for dinner because of the buffet available, one of our rooms smelled of mildew and had a leak in the bathroom, some parts of the property are dated, long line for coffee in the morning, bees swarming parts of the breakfast buffet

We have had a wonderful stay at Villa del Palmar! We did the all inclusive option, and it was so convenient to feed our picky kids. We mostly used the smaller of the 2 pools - it has a great view of the ocean. The beach area is lovely... there are ve dors sellong massages, braids, jewelry etc... kind of annoying, but to no fault of the property as the beach is a federal zone. We appreciated the laid back feel of this resort for our family - if you are looking for a party, this isn't it. The theme nights were entertaining as well. We left the property a few times, there are taxis readily available at the entrance. There is a small store - definitely overpriced, but walmart is a shoet raxi ride away. The rooms are bright and clean, woth a well appointed kitchenette. Overall, for a 3 star resort, this place is excellent and we will definitely return in the future!

We come back to Villa Del Palmar at Puerto Vallarta every now and then. We have been to a few other resorts, but Villa Del Palmar has been our favorite. This particular one at Puerto Vallarta has (a) very friendly staff who go out of the way to make you feel welcome (b) great quality of food, which taste authentic and high quality (c) a very short distance from the airport which makes it convenient to commute to/fro the airport.
