Location along the Columbia River and large dining area were positives. Portland airport jets fly directly overhead on takeoff, very loud. Also, extremely loud military fighter jets flew directly overhead at 8am both mornings we were there. Only coffee available other than in the rooms was the 'Coffee Bar' at $8 per cup.

Great hotel

Great place. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff are friendly. Leave a good amount of time for breakfast as it's a la carte. The common areas near the lobby are lovely, but the corridors and elevators to the rooms could do with a spruce up.

Overall property was good but the carpets had a washroom stench. Rooms were in good condition but there was no room service on either day that we stayed there.

So cold

The hotel had no heat, the rooms were freezing cold and they couldn’t or wouldn’t turn on the heat. It was like sleeping in a refrigerator. So bad.

Hands down the best service and staff I’ve encountered at a stay at any hotel nationwide. No kidding, Holiday Inn Columbia River we appreciate you so much. From the front desk daytime to midnight, all staff, especially the restaurant downstairs!! Seriously the best, best included breakfast possible. I am not exaggerating.
