The location is awesome with the max and several bus line stop right out in front of the hotel probably a100 feet from the building makes going anywhere super ez ÿ and it is vary reasonably priced!

We booked this stay based on the listing photos and were really let down by how different the actual room was. It felt tired and neglected peeling paint, staining near the terrace door, and a bed that was about as comfortable as a slab of cardboard. The quality just didn’t match what was shown online. We later found out there were different room tiers, but that wasn’t clearly communicated at booking. It honestly felt like a bait-and-switch. The “continental breakfast” was also disappointing. For a hotel with “conference center” in the name, we expected more than a few hard-boiled eggs, toast, and cereal. It felt more like a convenience corner than a guest amenity. There were signs at the front desk stating that housekeeping would only be provided if requested by calling down early in the morning. When we asked about it, we were told it was due to short staffing. We followed the instructions and called but even then, housekeeping never came. Personally, we were in town supporting one of our kids through brain surgery, and we really needed our lodging to be a place of comfort and reliability. Instead, this stay just added more stress to an already heavy situation. If I had known any of this upfront, I would have chosen a hotel I trusted to deliver the level of service and care I was paying for. The staff was polite, but overall, the experience didn’t live up to what was promised.

University Place Hotel is located close to most places I need to go in Portland. The bed was super comfy and the room was spacious. The pool was also comfortably warm to swim in. Nice quick continental breakfast perk to grab quick coffee and bite.

Picked this hotel for the restaurant. Had big plans durning the day and did not want to have to go out to eat. Then we get their and it is permanently closed but still says it is open on web site. The staff knows this but did not let us know when chevking in so we could adjust our plans. Very disappointing. And their are no restraunts close by. Will no be recommending this to anyone.

This is an older property but well maintained. The TV had a pixilated appearance and it was almost unable to watch. They said they would fix it the day after check in but it was never fixed during my 3 day stay.

Hotel was dated. Room had stains on the walls by the ceiling. Carpet was stained. Beds are very firm and not comfortable. We had to pay for parking even as a guest which I am not sure I have ever had to do in my travels. I have been to many hotels and this was a first for me.overall experience, it could been worse but I satisfied by any means.
