Pleasant Hill accommodation from AU$131

I did not expect to have to pay for parking - I was there 2 nights and paid $68 for parking... outside... in an unsecure lot... That seemed like a calculated ripoff. The rooms had the thermostats set so that no matter what temperature you set them at - after two hours they would reset to 74 degrees. This means the room would be cool for two hours and then quickly get hot unless you physically turned the air off, then on, then reset the temperature. There was ice water offered in the lobby but it was always empty. They gave 2 free drinks, but only kept the bar open for a couple hours and it was very crowded so the wait was long. Too long for me. Brent the guy at the front desk was super nice, and I appreciated him. The omelet chef was nice to. They insisted on serving you from the buffet line - maybe to ensure you didn't take more than 2 pancakes and 3 pieces of bacon - which seemed to be the "ration." I twice heard other staff people discussing how to make sure they charged people who did not check out on time. honestly Brent was the only guy who seemed to have a clue. I would not go back to this location even though the food and room was good for 3 reasons - the thermostat hack, the parking cost, and the fact that behind the side tables beside the bed I found left over food from several days before.
