Stressed and this hotel added to it!
We booked due to power outage at our home and the surrounding area. The room had a funky smell but we dealt with it. We checked in about 7:00PM after cleaning up storm damage and let our kids use the pool. Went to take showers and had NO hot water the entire night. The room had no toiler paper or kleenex and went to the front desk to ask for more first thing in the morning and received terrible customer service. The real kicker is the hotel staff called my cell at 2:37am! Asked if we were keeping our reservation for the night. Who calls at that time? Woke up the entire room and no one could get back to sleep. I had to be up for work at 5:00am. They lady I spoke with in the lobby after being told there was no manager (who was putting the food out for the breakfast) was the only person with good customer service. The lady at the lobby desk (please check who was there at 7:30am) was horrible! The lady with the food told me I would receive a reduced rate for the room and that we could have a later check out. We still have no power and need to stay somewhere but I will never go to this hotel again!
