Stayed here initially back in Nov 2019 and love it so much, we came back and does not disappoint. Love the fact that there are multiple restaurant locations to choose from. The gumbo in dome of their establishments are awesome btw, even though I've lived in New Orleans and know how original gumbo is made. They incorporate a tomato base within it that's makes it even better and might even rival NOLA gumbo, although New Orelans locals might not like me saying lol. Rooms are clean, large and well taken care of. The value is worth it.

Our recent stay at the Omni William Penn was largely fantastic—the kind of classic, high-end experience you expect from a historic Pittsburgh landmark. If you’re heading to an event at PPG Paints Arena, the location is unbeatable; it’s a quick, easy walk that saves you the headache of event-day traffic. The room was spotlessly clean with some of the most comfortable bedding we’ve encountered in a while. The bathroom was modern, with excellent water pressure, and a shower that actually feels like a luxury experience. We also grabbed a meal at The Tap Room on-site. The food was delicious and the convenience of staying in-house for a quality meal can’t be overstated. The only hiccup—which isn't a fault of the hotel’s service, but definitely a logistics "gotcha"—is the parking height restriction. The self-parking garage recommended on the hotel’s website has a 6'0" clearance. This effectively rules out most full-size trucks and many large SUVs. We spent about 15 minutes scouting nearby alternatives, but even the closest secondary garage topped out at 6'2". If you’re driving a larger vehicle, save yourself the search and head straight to the hotel’s valet. While valet is an additional expense, the staff was professional, quick, and handled everything perfectly. We would have simply brought a smaller car had the height restriction been clearly noted on the site, so hopefully, this helps the next traveler plan ahead! Despite the parking puzzle, we’d absolutely stay here again.

The Omni William Penn staff was by far the best staff that my wife and I have ever meet. It was like being on a Norwegian Cruise Ship. Richard, Sophi, and Jerome were exceptional men who helped making the checking in process easy with luggage and parking around the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, like stepping into the past. There is some wear and tear noticeable in some spots on walls and in the elevator, but nothing major. Architecture is gorgeous. While the lobby of the Omni William Penn is undeniably stunning, the actual guest experience fell tragically short of "grand" during our recent stay. It is disheartening to see such a prominent Pittsburgh landmark struggle with basic hospitality standards. Our room felt as though it had not seen a deep-cleaning in months; there was a thick layer of visible dust on the headboard, the bathroom floor was clearly overlooked, and the corners were neglected. Most shockingly, the bed coverings were torn in multiple spots. For a hotel of this reputation and luxury price point, I was met with damaged fabrics and neglected surfaces. Beyond the room, the service was hit or miss. While check-in was smooth, I later discovered a billing error where I was charged for two cars for overnight valet despite only having one vehicle. We visited the Tap House and the Terrace Room, but the Speakeasy was the low point of our trip. Service was abysmal, and the gentleman manning the door was highly unprofessional. After a larger group we were with departed, he entered the room specifically to confront my wife and me, accusing us of "taking an 8-person spot" for two people. After a brief argument, he "remembered" the situation but then insisted on forcing another group to sit with us. We took our drinks to our room to escape the hostility, only to find the bar was nearly empty at 12:30 AM. The hotel is a beautiful building,but they must prioritize maintenance and customer service to keeptheir luxuryTag
