Hotel sold my room, said in order to stay there we would have to pay for an 'upgraded' room at double the cost we had already paid. Took an hour of back and forth and Expedia contacting them before they gave us a room without charging us more. They only collect cash deposits, which is fine if their front desk is staffed...it wasn't. When checking out, tried to leave at 7 am. No one there to give back deposit. Waited THREE HOURS before someone showed up to give deposit. Room was ok, was one of the 'upgraded' rooms but the hotel itself was run down. And they had no towels in the room, wasn't until day 3 they finally brought them after asking.

The issue isn't if there's shops nearby. The issue is property manager is not friendly. There is no house keeping. She needs to be kind to her customers. And not dismissive
