Weekend Getaway

I stayed at The Buttes Marriott Resort in Tempe for two nights and couldn’t have been more pleased. My corner room was spacious, beautifully updated, and extremely comfortable — the perfect blend of modern style and relaxation. The shower had great water pressure, which was refreshingly strong after long days out. The property itself feels both secluded and safe, offering a peaceful retreat while still being close to everything in Tempe. The staff were friendly and professional, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to unwind. Next time I’m in town, I’ll definitely be a repeat customer. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for comfort, quality, and a touch of tranquility.

The pool is closed we went there just for the experience of the pool and the resort like atmosphere. Also I ran out of conditioner no one had refilled it in the shower and I had to stop my shower and wait for them to arrive back with more conditioner

The rooms are updated but the rest of the hotel is falling apart. The wallpaper in the hallways is coming apart, the ceilings have actual holes in them along with damaged baseboards. The creamer in the room was spoiled, so clearly that hasn't been changed out in a long time. The hotel is right next to the highway so you here the traffic no matter what side of the hotel you are on. It was definitely not worth $330 a night.

The pool furniture and tables were filthy. The views make up for it. The air conditioning in our room turned on and off loudly every 10. minutes. Room service was great. Live music on Tuesday was fun. Great espresso martinis. Pool bartender was good. I think his name was Dan. Rooms were nice, beds were great! We would definitely go back!

This property felt like a really upscale motel. It’s aging. The pool was dirty and the patio around the pool areas were covered in dirt and pebbles. Apparently parts of the hotel had been recently remodeled, but it just didn’t feel up to par.

We booked this resort for my wife’s birthday with our kids, driving 9 hours from California mainly for the pools. Unfortunately, upon arrival the pools were closed and muddy from mountain dirt washed in by rain, a clear design flaw. For a property that advertises pools as a highlight, this was a major letdown. When I asked for at least breakfast vouchers to make up for it, the front desk refused and only waived the $17 resort fee. After paying $700 for two nights, that was insulting. To make matters worse, water drips were scattered throughout the hotel, making the place feel poorly maintained. Overall, what was supposed to be a special family celebration turned into a very disappointing stay. For the price we paid, the experience and customer service fell far short.
