I booked a room through hotels.com at the airtel plaza in van nuys California. My card was charged for $160 and upon arrival to check in, I was told by the front desk associate that there were no rooms available and he was extremely rude. Poor business on hotels.com part and the hotels part. My boyfriend and I spent an hour driving around trying to find a last minute hotel to get some sleep and I had to wait for my money to be refunded

I arrive at the hotel and they tell me that there are no rooms, I show him my reservation and he tells me there are no, they drive more than 7 hours, in the end they give me a room that they use and the smell was unbearable, the bed was damp and the carpet was black from being dirty, so I would like a refund thank you We had to sleep 4 people in 1 bed and we couldn't even sleep

I had a terrible experience, first my non smoking room was smelling like a cannabis plantation, hot tub was closed, I was with my wife and 6 year old son trying to have a night of sleep, and about 11:30pm, 2 guys in the room on our side, start to fight, they have been screaming for about 2 hours and nobody did anything to end that situation. Called front desk with no success! I’ll never come back

The pictures from the hotel website are very deceiving. This place gives you the idea of remodeled rooms; a place that you would want to hold your event. There is nothing farther from the truth. Staying here felt sad & rundown. I personally didn't feel safe leaving my room or hanging out in the communal hotel areas. I tried to check out in the morning and there was no one at the front desk to assist with the check out process (we left a day early, didn't want to stay another night). I don't recommend this hotel.

I usually book this hotel and never charge me for parking, honestly, I think is ridiculous since there’s no security patrolling the area, there’s also signs around stating that if something happens to my car they are not responsible, ridiculous isn’t it?
