~ ~ This apartment is ideal for someone who loves nature and outdoor space, but who also enjoys a comfortable living space.
It is located on 18 acres that consists of a field in the front, two meadows in the back, and a creek that runs between. There are trails for walking, skiing, and snow shoeing. There is a firepit for bonfires. There might also be tobogganing and skating options.
Downtown Meaford is only a 5 minute drive away. It is about a 25 minute drive to most ski hills in the area (Blue Mountain, Craiglieth, Beaver Valley) and about a 10 minute drive to the restaurants and shops in Thornbury. There are also great beaches and trails nearby.
The apartment is newly renovated. It is on the ground level of the house (basement) with large walk-out doors that open to the yard. The view from the apartment is of the yard and trees. There is a gas fireplace in the living room which is open to the kitchen. There is one main bedroom that has the same view and there is a second room that could be used as a bedroom or an office (though it has no windows).
Access to the apartment will be via a breezeway/mudroom that will be shared with the top floor. You will have a dedicated closet for outdoor clothing and boots. You will also have access to some space in the garage for temporarily storing outdoor recreational gear (skis, ski boots, toboggans). The top floor will be occupied by the owners and their guests.
There is access to laundry on the ground level, which is shared with the top floor.
