Waited over one hour for our hotel room in the lobby had to ask staff for the keys to the room. Arrived in the room to find that it smells like an ashtray when we specifically asked for a non smoking room and floor. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because of the pool but we were advised that children under 16 were not permitted to use the pool even if we did pay the 1200 yen per person to use it. Staff were extremely polite but I would not recommend this hotel with anyone that has a family. This place is too formal and the location was not great.

An overall great hotel with a great room and amenities with its location being the only negative. However, the free shuttle to the station solves that problem!

Nice hotel, located in a convenience area.

Very nice hotel. Disappointed with the hotel policy is we tried to check in about 2:30pm and we paid almost AUD$200 to check in before 6pm. They did not show any concern about that we have a three years old kid, and he was sleeping in my lap. Hi

Awesome hotel, upgraded to the Suite for free!!!!!

Would stay there again in a heart beat! We were upgraded to the Suite for free without even asking!!! Staff spoke English and were very professional (on par with Hyatt standards). Food was awesome (room service multiple times) and they really looked after the customer (helped with our bags promptly, always helpful and polite). The room was awesome and had breath-taking reviews of Osaka. Only a few minor negatives: The pool (very strict rules for someone who loves to just relax; also required additional payment per usage) and the gym (again, requires payment that is more than double the price of the pool!).

Great service and elegant looking hotel

We had a great time staying at the Imperial hotel. The staff were all friendly and courteous. Only concern was when our credit card was charged US$1314 as a deposit when we fully paid for our accommodation. We didn't get this in the other hotels in Japan.

Wonderful hotel

Pros: Lovely staff & cleanliness of the hotel.
Location: Universal Studio
We stayed 2 nights. Staff were friendly & helpful. Complimentary shuttle made it very convenient to get to Osaka Station & it runs regularly. The driver were very prompt & professional. We found it quite convenient to return to the hotel via the JR train line. It only took us 10 minutes by the Osaka Loop Line to get to Universal Studio. We had a lovely stay. Thank you, Imperial Staff.
