Three Bedroom Aksarben Cottage

Welcome to your cute and comfortable Aksarben getaway! This home is located in the fantastic Aksarben neighborhood, just a few blocks away from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Close by, you will find Baxter Arena, Aksarben Cinema, Coldstone Creamery, DJ’s Dugout for sports, food & fun, Godfather’s Pizza, Voodoo Taco, and more coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shops, Stinson Park and the famous Omaha Farmer’s Market on Sundays in Aksarben, and all of the fun that Aksarben Village has to offer! The Omaha Zoo and Aquarium, Nebraska Medical Center, and The Blackstone District are just a short drive away.



Enjoy the local entertainment or snuggle up at your home away from home and enjoy watching your favorite shows on one of four new Amazon hands-free Alexa-enabled smart TVs, pre-loaded with ESPN, SlingTV, including Paramount for those Yellowstone fans, Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+, or play foosball, cornhole or an assortment of fun board games and card games. There are plenty of spots to curl up on with one of our many designer throw blankets and pillows. We even have a few great books to choose from!



Our Aksarben Cottage offers a total of three bedrooms and a basement entertainment room with a sectional sofa, a foosball table, and Cox’s high-speed Gigablast wifi package, offering 1,000 megabits (Mbps) or 1 Gbps of download speed.



The two main floor bedrooms each have a comfy queen-sized bed, hangers in the closet, and a luggage rack. The larger of the two main floor bedrooms also have a chest of drawers. The smaller of the two comes with a 43” hands-free, Alexa-enabled Smart TV. The larger of the two main floor bedrooms has a French door that leads out to the backyard deck and a set of French Doors that opens to the living room. Close them over and pull the blinds for added privacy or leave them open to enjoy an airy feel. You will find a full bath with a tub/shower combo, hairdryer, and towels down the hall.



The private upstairs primary bedroom has a king-sized bed, built-in drawers, a walk-in closet, a reading nook, and a hands-free 43” Alexa-enabled Amazon smart TV.



The open floor plan in the living room has a comfy sofa and accent chair, a romantic fireplace, and a cozy dining nook with a table, four chairs.



Additionally, you can enjoy the kitchen island breakfast bar with two stools and visit the complimentary coffee and tea bar, complete with a Keurig, a coffee maker, and an electric tea kettle. We also offer complimentary Dunkin’ Donuts Keurig K-Cups, assorted teas, snack bars, and to-go cups! The kitchen has cooking utensils, pots, pans, Tupperware, baking sheets, glasses, plates, flatware, and coffee mugs, just to name a few.



The home has a total of four hands-free Alexa-enabled Amazon smart TV. One 43” in the upstairs primary bedroom, one 43” in the main level secondary bedroom, one 55” in the living room, and one 65” in the basement entertainment room.



Downstairs you will find the basement entertainment room with a large movable sectional sofa that doubles as an additional sleeping area, a table for playing games (with extra chairs available throughout the house for more players), and a foosball table. Watch a movie or your favorite sporting event on the new hand-free Alexa-enabled 65” Amazon Smart TV. There is a separate laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer, a table for folding laundry that doubles as a work desk with chairs, and a private full bathroom with a shower.



The large backyard has a table with six chairs, an umbrella for those sunny days, and a BBQ. The perfect place for an afternoon of cornhole! You will find two additional chairs and a side table on the deck. A beautiful spot to sip your morning coffee.

Please note this charming, well-loved home is almost 100 years old; please be gentle with it. It has narrow/steep stairways; please always use a handrail and watch your head. The upstairs bedroom has a dormer ceiling, which is low in places, please watch your head, and the garage is small; larger vehicles will not fit.
