We enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom door is a bit heavy and hard to open and close. Also, the bathtub floor is quite slippery. The convenience of the restaurant is nice and we had a wonderful waiter who did a great job. The self-park is convenient although a bit pricey at $32. Our favorite part of the hotel was the courtyard which was an enjoyable place to sit and relax in the evening. There are areas of the hotel that could use updating (i.e. carpeting in the 4th floor hallway). The best feature of this hotel was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff.

Magnolia Hotel was amazing and so cute! The staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant had delicious food and great cocktails! We also enjoyed being able to walk to many restaurants and bars. Great stay!

What a gem of a hotel! The location was beautiful and full of charm, and the customer service was truly outstanding. The staff clearly takes pride in both the hotel and their city—it really showed in every interaction.

We arrived late at night and had to request access to enter the building. The front desk person wasn’t friendly and the restaurant were not hospitable to my family. Also, the location is bad.

Really kind of a cool old hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The location is good as well. Right across the street from the Orpheum Theatre and walking distance to the old market. All in all a really good deal.

Pretty nice, worth the money.

Pretty nice room, the staff was polite and attentive. The hotel restaurant was top notch. The bathroom was a bit small, but the water pressure was good. My biggest criticism of my particular room was that the carpet in the bedroom was not in great condition and probably should be replaced.

Love the historic charm of this hotel, and the proximity to The Orpheum Theatre was exceptional. Very friendly, professional front desk staff. I had a king room which was a good size and comfortable enough. However, there was no bar soap (or soap of any kind) by the sink to wash hands with. I had to use the body wash in the shower which was strongly scented (I’m ultra sensitive to scents). The only bathroom amenities provided were a packet of body lotion and a hair dryer. The shower is also elevated so there’s a step up/down. The TV in the room was older and had a lot of static on the menu pages, which made it hard to navigate. The room I was assigned was directly across from the elevators. And since there’s a considerable gap up the room door, it was noisy. I had planned to sleep in but once housekeeping got to work, I gave up as it was just too loud. Overall, great location and nice hotel but bring your own soap for the sink (and if you scent-sensitive for the shower, too) and ask for a room away from the elevators (and put a towel or something by the bottom of the door to the hall to try and block some sound.

My fiance and I were very excited to stay at this hotel. As gold members, we were promised a bottle of wine and a corner window room. It took a while to check in and the front desk person said our initial room was booked. The new room was dirty with old soap bars and trash still in the bathroom. Our bottle of wine was nowhere to be found. In addition, I left my glasses in the bathroom and returned home before realizing. We called to ask if they were found and we were told they would look and call back. No call back and if the glasses were found, we’d have to pick them up or pay for shipping. Not worth the money or trouble of staying. Felt disappointed. An Air BnB would’ve been more accommodating.
