American (Horror) Inn

By far, the worst place I have ever encountered. I would be fine if it was just old and worn conditions but the lack of basic cleanliness of the room was an actual biohazard. Beware— their policy is no cancellation and no refunds for a reason. The photos of the listing for this hotel are the most ludicrous display of bait and switch. Come stains, blood stains, brown crusty mystery substance on the sheets. Seriously, good luck if you stay here. Oh, the whole place reeks of old cigarettes too—

This wasn’t a great experience, they don’t have extra security locks like most hotels. There are no smoking signs posted everywhere but the place reeks of cigarette. My child found an ace bandage someone had left behind in a drawer. There was a sock and toothbrush we found while gathering out things to leave. We booked 2 nights but cut or losses and stayed only 1. The price is low to match the quality. Stayed march 2025.

Only As An Absolute Last Resort

Other than its location, everything about this was poor. The walls were so thin we could hear EVERYTHING in adjacent room. (People coughing and talking at a normal level.) The beds were old, worn, and uncomfortable. People were yelling in the halls literally all night. The doors offered no sound deadenening from the hallways. No amenities other than a bar of soap and towels. (Which actually were very clean.) Odds stains in the tub and on the walls. We weren't there very long, luckily. Needless to say, you get EXACTLY what you pay for. Do yourself a favor, cross the river and pay more for a decent hotel.

Beds were rocks, trash everywhere outside. The outer door was broke so we had to take the long way to our every day. Our room didnt even have a trash can. Walls are paper thin. Was a completely different experience than i had last time! I had a double bed room this time (single last time) idk if that made a difference. I think ill pay extra for a better hotel next time

Literally the worst place I’ve ever been. Would leave now if we didn’t check in after midnight on a long road trip. The place is FILTHY. It has the worst smell of old cigerettes to top it off and the clientele staying seem to be homeless. My 10 year old is freaking out saying she not safe here and like I said, this room has not been cleaned. Expedia should be ashamed advertising this filth.

Not the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed but it was cheap. There were only two towels in the room and they were thin. Asked front desk for more and they were happy to give. Could hear people walking/talking in the halls.

They stole my belonging from me and I booked another night. They are trying to say I stole a microwave when I approached a staff member about it to get a new one. There was a screaming baby and the police had to show up in the room next doo. It’s an American nightmare
