The interior designer did a fabulous job in the lobby of this hotel. I felt excited to have chosen such an esthetically pleasing place to stay. But to my surprise, the rooms need to be renovated and cleaned. My first room was at the end of the hall on the third floor . I have some limitations (portable oxygen), and the front desk staff asked if this would be okay. I asked if there was an elevator and if the walk was far? She replied,”yes there is an elevator and the walk was not far.” However, the walk was extremely far. We were in the next to the last room at the end of the hall. The room also was infested with ants. They were crawling on my clothes.
The maintenance staff saw me struggling to walk the hallway and gave me a chair and offered to get the wheelchair for me. I didn’t even know there was one available upon checking in.
We had to relocate to a new room because of the ants. The second room was on the first floor which was closer to the front desk but the phone did not work. I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk to ask for housekeeping. She came to the room and gave me new towels and made the beds. I asked her to vacuum and I was told she doesn’t vacuum or clean, just change towels and make the bed. Wow, now I think I know why there were ants in the previous room. I also asked to order room service and was told I have to go to the restaurant to order, how is this room service? Overall, this hotel stay was by far one of the worst experiences.
