This was perfect for my 1 night stay in New York. Goof value when you look at how expensive everywhere else is. Very handy for the subway - entrance right across the street. Very accessible for all things in uptown Manhattan. The room was very good - well equipped and clean. Wifi also very good. Only 2 minor things - the shower was very weak, and perhaps more importantly the entrance to the hotel was a bit underwhelming. It was via a side door (maybe they are working on the proper front door?) and the reception area was always very crowded - there always seemed to be a crowd hanging around for something - which made the reception area not very relaxing. I didn't have breakfast or use the eating area.

The bed was very comfortable. Even though I was not given the king size bed I paid for, they did give me a room with a great view! One con was I could hear everyone in the hallway along with elevators.

Hotel lobby area under construction. Rooms very small and mattresses in bad shape. Mattresses very sagging. Towells very stiffs and old. Below average hotel for a Doubletree/Hilton. People outsude temporary entrance doing drugs and smoking weed.
