Great hotel, comfy beds, clean rooms and fantastic staff. Can’t speak highly enough of your staff member Sata who came to our rescue in the lobby when my daughter fainted. She was incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in New York close to subways and walking distance to most attractions.

The Doubletree by Hilton is conveniently located within walking distance of Times Square and Broadway. The room was clean, staff we dealt with were all friendly. Upon checking in we were each given one of their cookies, a unique touch. One thing to note, during peak hours the lines and waits to use the elevators were quite long, more so than what I would have expected. This should not deter people from staying here, but something to be aware of. No mini fridge in the room was a minor drawback. Overall it was a positive experience.

Front desk staff was friendly and kind. Hotel was clean. Cookies were delicious 😋 some rooms had been affected by recent storms so the original 2 double beds reserved wasn't available. But, king room was nice, yet a bit small. Hotel has 36 floors and 4 elevators. Waiting to go up or down can be a several minutes. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I would stay there again. :))

Arrived at 12:30 am and my king room was no longer available and they informed me AFTER I checked in and paid that the HVAC on the floor was inoperable. The room was incredibly hot and had no airflow making it uninhabitable. The window could only be cracked so no air flow could be created. In a hot NYC summer, this isn’t acceptable. They should not have rented the room. I checked out immediately and had to go door to door to find a room at 1:00 am as most hotels in the area were sold out.

The room was very clean. We had a king bed. The rooms are quite small and designed to accommodate one or two adults sharing a bed. We made it work with two adults and an infant without major issues, but no doubt it was tight. No room for pack and play or crib, if you have small kids. All manageable, and this is the type of hotel where you aren’t going to spend a lot of time in the room. Staff were absolutely awesome. Extremely courteous and patient. One person even walked with my mother in law to a nearby drug store. The continental/buffet breakfast was acceptable but nothing special. Plenty of other options for food in the area but the hotel breakfast was a good option to quickly eat before heading out. Location was near enough to Times Square, which comes with the standard pros and cons in terms of access to transportation, noise, safety, etc. The area generally felt safe and no one bothered us. All-in-all for the price this is a great option for a clean place to stay with no frills, and very helpful staff. Would stay there again.

Family trip

It was a little far from Times Square. Make sure to bring good walking shoes. Do not expect to check in early. They do not begin check in til 3pm but our room was not ready til 5pm. And we had to wait for the elevators every time. Once we came back at 11pm on a Wednesday night and there were about 50 people waiting for elevators in the small lobby.

Worse elevators ever experienced

Great location but globally the worst elevator setup and experience ever. There was always a 10-30 minute wait for the elevator to arrive and no logic to the programming. I will not stay again specifically due to the elevator problem.
