The staff was amazing. When we first got there one of the front valet walked us in, showed us where everything was, and then wrote down good places to eat while we visited. Our room was clean and had a perfect view of everything. And we are at the bar which was also perfect. All in all a good stay! Thank you!

The Pontchartrain Hotel is one of those places that instantly transports you to another era. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by its old-world charm, creaky wooden floors, brass fixtures, and a lobby that feels straight out of the 1920s. The attention to detail is wonderful; every corner tells a story. The room I stayed in was cozy and full of character, with vintage furniture and high ceilings. The bed was comfortable, and we had plenty of room for two. The location couldn’t be better, just in the heart of the Garden District but far enough away to enjoy some quiet at night. Breakfast was simple but fresh, and the hotel bar had an amazing old-school vibe. Jazz show was amazing. Reserve a table If I had one minor complaint, it’s that the building shows its age in a few places, some chairs in the room were a bit tattered , and AC sounded like a locomotive But honestly, that’s part of what gives it personality. Overall, the Pontchartrain Hotel captures the spirit of New Orleans beautifully charming, soulful, and full of history. I’d definitely stay here again

This historic hotel is absolutely lovely, the streetcar is right outside the front door so it's easy to get around and super convenient. The room was great, and I loved the uniqueness of it. The accessible restroom was large and had everything that I needed. While the staff was kind, they weren't the most helpful. We had trouble finding a spot to park and unload on our arrival, and when we called the front desk asking for instructions, they didn't have any solutions for us other than "park in the unloading zone". The unloading zone wasn't visible and was full, so we had to circle the hotel for 20-30 minutes before we could even get inside, which was stressful on an unfamiliar city, especially one as busy as New Orleans. Cleaning staff did not come into the room each day, so whenever we needed anything (additional towels, toilet paper, to have the trash taken out, etc.) we had to call and ask for it specifically. There were also many times when we tried to call the front desk for assistance, and nobody answered. While it didn't ruin our stay by any stretch of the imagination, I've had much better service at much cheaper hotels, and I expected better. The restaurants at the hotel were quite good. We were able to get dinner at the Bayou Bar our first night and the burger and catfish sandwich were great, and the silver whistle is great.
