Enjoy the most private beach in Negril, while being close enough to walk the entire famous 7-mile Negril Beach, if you want.
At the top of the stairs before you enter the unit is a sitting area with a view of the 7-mile beach, the water, and the island across.
This studio apartment is ideal for single travelers or couples looking to spend a month relaxing in Negril.
Special Discounts of over 30% are offered to those looking to stay for a month or more.
Prices are usually quoted in USD but we've noticied that once you book, the price is converted to CAD and therefore looks MORE EXPENSIVE - I'm working on this with VRBO to correct it, as this is just an error and the price does not change, I think it's just shocking to see the conversion for most people.

Once you enter the studio apartment, there is a small balcony to your right, and the kitchen is on your left. The fully renovated bathroom is just beyond the kitchen, and so is the other beautiful balcony that seals off the room.
The living area has a futon bed and a queen bed with a cedar frame.

The bathroom has been retiled and fitted with all-new fixtures.

This unit is renovated and regularly updated.
We have replaced the cabinets and old hot water heater. There is now an electric water heater, and that hot water heater was replaced and upgraded in January 2025.

We are constantly updating and upgrading this unit!

The water in Jamaica is hard, we have a water softener for the kitchen sink water and a filtering shower head. Both are maintained and changed regularly.

You have access to:

Rock pools, fun for hanging out, near the cave (great for snorkeling)

Two Beaches:
One is a 2-minute walk, with shallow water and a great sandy area for castle building and deep water out by the rope. With blue beach chairs and nearby outdoor showers for rinsing. Directly across from the Boobycay Island.

The second is an 18+ beach, with blue lawn chairs and a fence, on the west side of the property, neighboring the Infamous Hedo nude beach.

One Pool:
just a two-minute walk from the apartment
This studio apartment is located on the third floor of the central area of Point Village.

This is an excellent place for travelers seeking relaxation and intimacy with the island and their company. You'll love having the option to purchase day passes at nearby resorts without the full commitment to the indulgence that all-inclusive is for. For an enjoyable day out, there are always taxis nearby, and we can provide you with local taxi numbers. Take a short taxi ride, or walk to 7 Mile Beach and all its offerings.

You'll hardly need A/C when you open both balconies and let the breeze through. The air conditioner is often serviced and cools the rooms in a reasonable amount of time, and is near the bed. It may seem small, but the room truly cools down quickly.

Point Village has been standing for over 30 years. Each unit and owner has their particular style. I hope you'll enjoy my unit and stay a while.

We really enjoyed our stay, was excellent value for the money. We arrived less than 3 months after the hurricane, and there was ongoing repairs and repairs that appeared temporary but nothing that took away from our enjoyment. The property is quiet and had a very neighbourly vibe. The beach is small but was never crowded and the rock jetty took the roughness out of the waves on the one rough day. There is shade for those of us who burn easily. People looking to come here for the first time should be aware that when you walk 7 mile beach from the property, you first pass through a nude beach. This was never a problem but could be a bit of an eye opener if you didn’t know. There is a tennis/pickle ball court and a small workout area with some weights for those who want to do so. We also saw someone fishing from shore along some of the rocky areas if fishing is a draw (don’t know if they caught anything). We are planning to return!

This is our second time staying here. Sarah is an excellent host, and very responsive. There was a little damage due to the hurricane, and she sent someone right away to take care of it. We love the location on the property kind of in the center, close to everything.

It was a cozy unit with great views. Everything mostly worked as it was supposed to. Came after hurricane and property did whith stand some damage and was somewhat exposed to the elements. Property was well stocked with most essential items to prepare a meal and to be comfortable. I would recommend the property and well stay again if available

This place is exactly what you need if you’re needing a get away in Jamaica. Perfect sized unit with wifi, tv and a kitchen. There was an AC unit inside, but if you want the natural island breeze, there are large doors on both sides that let the air flow through.The beach was so close, I could smell the sea water from the window. There are so many lovely restaurants just a short walk along the sand. At night, there are lively places to hang out with locals.I have this place saved and will be making it my regular go to spot in Jamaica.

i love this apartment!

this trip was my 3rd booking in a row with this owner/this apt. i have been coming to the property for decades, and stayed when it was all inclusive, up to/through the residential/condos now. i love this apartment, and i could not be happier!! it is clean and safe and has ocean views from both porches! fancy it is not, but i've done fancy, and i so prefer the realness and tamer vibe of point village now. i plan to return and book with sarah every year forever!

Nice Studio

Over all very nice place, had everything we needed for essentials. Washer was nice, Shower was nice. Water heater wasnt working but host put a new one in as soon as they could. Bed was comfortable and a great location on the property near the pool.host was responsive to all our questions.

Beware

We loved how close this was to Hedo and the beach. However, there was absolutely no hot water. Now we know we are Americans and we may use hot water more than any other country but this was freezing cold water out of a shower that literally was spit water. The pressure was extremely low like a fast dripping faucet. The water pressure in the bathroom sink and the kitchen area were fine. We reached out several times to the property manager and she responded each time. However, she said there should be hot water and we needed to flick a switch on the water heater, which appeared broken. We gave it one day to see if we could handle it. The next day my spouse boiled water on the stove and put a large pot on the shower floor for us to use instead. Also, there was no wash cloths so we had to cut a towel to make one. The kitchen faucet was hanging off the handle. We checked out after day 2 and went to another hotel. The best thing that happened to us actually, is that we checked out and found a jewel of a hotel down the road near all of the real beach, nonresort action lives. The property manager did refund some of the stay. Really, I believe it should have been the full amount but I will take it.

Just the Best!!!

my second stay did not disappoint! the staff there, as well as the owner, were available, but let me be. the room was clean, the grounds were maintained, and i never once felt unsafe. the water pressure could be a little wonky, but there were gallons of bottled water on standby just in case. such a great place!!

The point

This was my second time in this unit. I had a lot of issues this go round with the shower not producing water when trying to shower . The washer not working to over flowing. The kitchen sink backed up on us. Sarah did answer all complaints and after a very bad start of my vacation Sarah did sent professional out to fix the issues!! MY 1st time was quiet but this go it was loud music from neighbor very early every day. Crazy as it was I would go back bc I love the property and even though Sarah did not offer and compensation she is a very professional she does answers the message and offer solutions. I think the cleaner should have noticed these things we’re broke or not working properly from last people when she was cleaning. As for the Point Village I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT THERE IT

Not Quite As Advertised

Despite our experience with this unit and the owner, we had an great time in Negril even though the unit was not what was advertised. This was our third visit to Negril and we have stayed in 2 other units in the Point VIllage complex which were both beautiful with helpful (experienced?) owners. When we were booking for this year, none of the prior units were available and the only unit that worked for us was Sarah's. Looking at the (well positioned) pictures, it appeared that the only thing that we were giving up was a bit of view (OK view, just not as nice as others) which would explain the price differential. We arrived and were surprised to find that there was hardly any bedding and the pillows that were there were stained (blood I think) and basically worn out. We also discovered that the balcony which looked fine in the pictures was unusable as it was under construction. The toilet decided to start running every night around 2am for no apparent reason and their cleaning lady was not thorough enough to clean the coffee maker which had moldy coffee in it. We contracted the owner and were told (on day 2 after trying to sleep without bedding and disgusting pillows) that her mom was on the way from Montego Bay with some new bedding. When she arrived, it turned out to be a couple of new bedspreads only. When we asked her about the pillows, she looked at them and said she certainly wouldn't want to sleep on them (so why would we?). She went on to tell us that we don't know how hard it is to get stuff in Jamaica (actually we do - you can get that stuff easily in the Mega Mart in Montego Bay or go to Kingston). She then took 3 of the 4 pillows with her and said she could get more if we wanted. Since we just stared at her I guess she figured we didn't and never did return with them so we were left to use the one remaining pillow and grabbed another from the sofa. To top it all off, the owner was emailing me that they needed to see the unit (which we let her mom) to see what was going on. Turns out (we are pretty sure) that the mom lives in the next building - if that is true, shame on her for not knowing the state of the unit. We are not usually big complainers. We rented out our cottage on for years. I would have been embarrassed to have this happen to my guests. This could be a very nice little rental if they invested maybe $500 or $1,000 more. I really think that the issue is an inexperienced and absentee owner.

Cute place, lovely property

Apartment was clean and perfect for our week-long stay. We cooked-in most nights and took advantage of nearby restaurants that we could either get a short cab ride to or walk. The property has numerous places to enjoy the ocean from the sandy beach to the beautiful rock pools. For those who like to snorkel, there is plenty at your footsteps and a cave to explore too. I would highly recommend!!!

Sarah was an amazing host. She checked in with us periodically to see if everything was okay, even stocked the fridge for us so we were able to easily get acclimated to Negril upon arrival. The studio itself was clean and comfortable with ocean views and the community was filled with kind and helpful neighbors, we got to know a few of them. We couldn’t ask for a better stay!

Great location and area!!!

We stayed in Sarah-lyn"s unit for 4 days. For us it was just what we wanted. We like beach walking and this is the place for it. The grounds at the Point are great with good beaches and swimming. The pool area is also clean and nice. The unit itself has all the amenities that we needed. With doors on either end and the nice breeze we never had to use the AC. We walked the entire beach one day and most of it all other days. Beach bars with great food were our goals and we succeeded. Found a great breakfast place not to far and went often (Boardwalk Village just past the all inclusive resorts). Plenty of choices for dinner on the beach. Recommend this place if you want alternative to all inclusive.
