A place to lay your head

Intentionally booked a cheap hotel as this was a quick weekend trip to go out and do things. Basically just needed a place to sleep. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was also great for us as it was centrally located to all of our outings. This was exactly what I expected for the price. The only complaint I had was the A/C was problematic in that the only real way to get it to work was to turn it on and off repeatedly. It would cycle once and stop. To be fair to the property though, I did not bring the issue up with them, so they did not have the opportunity to fix it. It was only two nights and clearly we survived, so not a huge deal. This is a cheaper motel and you get what you pay for, but I would stay here again.

I didn’t feel unsafe and the cleanliness of the room was great! The service at the front desk was very helpful when I needed to replace my dead room key. In a good location. Only negative is the floors aren’t sound proof so could hear the person above my room!

I liked that everyone that stayed there was nice. The staff made sure you had everything you needed and I didn't have to go far to get something to eat. Motel 6 was conveniently located around lots of the tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping. There was plenty of spaces for handicap parking too.

The staff was very good, except for the woman who was on duty when I checked out. That morning, because my car needed to be towed and I had to rearrange everything in the car and room to stay at my cousins, I asked her if I could check out later. She said firmly, "We dont have late checkout. I can give you till 11:30." I thought that was rather extreme but did my best to get everything out by then, and failed. I had been traveling and sleeping in my car since I left CT.. Everything I needed was in it. Plus I was co-ordinating the pickup of the car by the tow company, as well as my cousin coming to pick me up. This same woman, who I estimate to be between 40 and 50 years, long reddish blond hair, nice looking, came to the room and saw it was still in disarray at 11:45. She was angry. I was getting the number of the auto repair shop from the laptop when she walked in. She assumed I was "playing on my computer" or some such nonsense. I said I could be out in 15 minutes, but that wasnt good enough for her. She said, "Do you want me to charge your card for another day??" I said, NO!! and scrambled frantically to get out. She came back and said, "Your card wouldnt go thru. The police will escort you out." My cousin, whom I hadnt seen for a long time was coming, and to think of her seeing the police chucking me out of the motel...I was in tears. The police didnt come but the experience was so terrible I will never return to that motel.unless that woman is fired.

This property is terrible. The walls in rooms are dirty sheets stained. The people next to me blated music every night horrible. The garbage bins outside were overflowing with garbage and stank. Didn't feel safe at all would never stay here again.
