Paid extra for a room with a balcony and a decent view. What a joke. Also, lobby was filthy, seats were stained and dirty and the food absolutely horrific. Will not be staying at an Embassy Suites or Hilton ever again. $400 dollars for that?!

The property looks great from a distance. In reality it is dirty and not appealing. We checked in after our flight was delayed and as a result we missed our connecting flight so a 24 hour delay and we chose the worst option ever . We were told we could have a late check out at 4:30 pm so we spent most of the day shopping and arrived at the front desk at 2:30 pm to be told they had been trying to reach us all day since we should have checked out at 11 am .. They read back my contact number and jr was correct , but I never had a call from the hotel . They told us we had a half hour to have our things out of the room or they would add an additional charge ( we already paid for the night 215$ and an additional 50 for the late check out that was never mentioned ) and now they were threatening to add on another nights stay at the rate of 215$ . Totally unacceptable. I’m considering deleting my Hilton honors account and moving on

The building is old but fairly clean. However, the staff said that I could arrive early and check in (I was sick-vertigo). When I arrived after a friend dropped me off, they said that a room was not available. I wished that they had told me the truth before I arrived. I could have gone somewhere else until the room was ready. Only after I arrived did they continue to mention availability. Also, the 24 hour shuttle left early because it was so full. When I asked about the return time, they just said it would return when it gets back. I got an Uber for my husband and I at 5:30am to the airport. This staff needs training regarding customer service; there appears not to be any. Finally, there was no coffee or tea that I could get for free as there is in other Embassy Suites; everything costs something. This is not what I expected from an Embassy Suite.

We had a great stay at the Embassy Suites Miami International Airport. The evening reception was a highlight and such a nice bonus, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was clean and well-appointed. The only downside was that the building was quite cold, and a team member let us know that the building does not have heat, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times. Overall, we still really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
