Eden Roc is an icon on Miami Beach. the Hotel is spectacular, and having Nobu restaurant is the icing on the cake. I have a few issues, first of all at check in they didn't inform us if we had breakfast included, it happened to be quite cool and the room was freezing. When we called to find out how to turn on the heat, they had no idea, but they were willing to send an engineer to our room. This was late at night. We finally got extra blankets brought up to our room. There were no bathrobes (this was a suite) and the bathroom was large, but poorly appointed. We have stayed at the Nobu side of the Hotel and that spoiled us I guess. There were no complimentary water bottles but there was a coffee maker. We had to buy water. I think if you have a coffee maker, provide coffee the water should be provided too.especially at over $500 a night.

We chose to stay at the Eden Roc hotel after weeks of research into where we wanted to stay at the end of our cruise. On arrival it took forever to speak to a receptionist, long queue and only two staff on. Our room was large with a comfortable bed had we only been able to sleep. We were disturbed by trucks reversing all night with beeping alarms. Skips were constantly being filled. The glass doors onto the balcony had not been cleaned and were filthy. The balcony itself was a disgrace. Staff handled our issues well and enabled a late check out to suit our flight time. Only the electronic locks on the room weren’t updated and it took an hour to resolve and get into the room! On a positive note, the proximity to the beach and the pool was excellent as were the staff. Breakfast was good with everything you would expect, we had breakfast included, good job as the bill was over $100 for two people which was mistakenly added to our final bill at checkout. Location wise, apart from the beach access, there is nothing nearby. It was a 50 minute walk to Lincoln Rd where there were shops and restaurants. This is a busy hotel with lots of conferences and events going on. Sorry but we won’t be returning, a small hotel Mid to South Beach is the best option.
