House very close to noisy industrial laundry
The house itself did meet our expectations, but the surrounding was not as described on fewo. Very close to the villa there is an industrial laundry whose turbines create continuous noise from 6 am to 10 pm (sometimes even 10:30 pm) every single day from Monday to Sunday and even on public holidays at least in high season. You only don’t hear the noise when you are inside the villa with closed windows and switch on the air con.
The villa, the terrasse and the pool area are all directed to the laundry which means there is no way to avoid the noise!
When we mentioned this noise to the owner her only comment was, that the laundry is there since ever and we will get used to the noise.
We also had several contacts with the local agency Croatia Tours through which we rented the villa and explained our complaint. In the end we never heard back from them.
What is also important to know is that there are other villas next to Villa Ribica with windows and a balcony directed to the pool area of Villa Ribica. The photos on fewo don’t show these villas because they are from a time when these villas were not yet built.
