Nice updated room that was surprisingly quiet given its proximity to the ferries. The location couldn’t be more convenient. The only con is the lobby smells like horse poop, but that is because the streets are covered with it.

We had a wonderful stay at the BSI! The Inn was very convenient for all the things we wanted to do and see. The room was clean and very nicely appointed. I was kind of frustrated that they changed my reservation from 2 queen beds to a king without saying anything before hand. I realize it is the end of the season and they were booked but i would think they would keep you with what you reserved before "upgrading" you without checking first. That being said, the property and room is amazing and in a great location.

The hotel and our room was beautiful, spacious and clean. We loved the balcony view of the street. It was so fun and relaxing to see/hear the horses going up and down the street. There wasn't breakfast provided, but we did have dinner at the Winchester, downstairs, and it was very good! I loved that they showed old black n white movies over the bar. It was very charming.

The hotel called just before check-in to say they were giving me a complimentary room upgrade. I don’t know what my original room looked like but this one is new, clean, comfortable and has a water view. Breakfast was not provided and the room price was higher than I usually spend, but then prices on the island’s restaurants are high, too. If I have any advice to give it’s that be mindful of the season’s end toward late October; the diminished crowds is nice but the island gives off a ghost town air as the shops shut down for winter. But, of course, the fudge shops are all open!
