Lovely Staff/Very Unclean

The reception staff and breakfast staff were lovely. This place is not clean. This isn’t a maid don’t do a good job in between stays not clean, but mildew is growing, the spiders have taken up residence, it smells like wet, unkept cabin. This was one of three waterfront, upper peninsula cabin stays on this trip and this was the only one that was just unclean.

The staff at the desk who was helping us gave us a room at the very end of the hall the elevator was at the other end with 2 inclines and my mom is over 90. No assistance with changing the room. Then when we got to the room they were not finished with cleaning.

Two days in Mackinaw.

Our room was great. Very clean. We had a balcony with awesome Lake/ beach views. The breakfast was okay, not much of a selection. The dining room is large but it felt like a greenhouse d/t 3 walls of windows. No ac was on bc it was in the 60's.

It started when we got to our room and the toilet was plugged we hadn't even used yet.Shower gel was empty thank goodness I had my own, humidifier was full my husband emptied that.There was a pillow case in the corner of the room left behind from the maid.When we arrived maid next room over had earbud in ear and was on phone the whole time so not surprising on condition of room.

This is an older hotel but was clean and comfortable. It is right on the beach and a short walk to the ferry. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a nice variety and was good. We enjoyed the ease of walking to the shops and the ferry. We would stay here again if back in the area.
