As much as I would like to give this place 5 stars, the cleanliness and maintenance just weren’t up to par, especially for the price point. It is calm, quiet, and parking is easy and free. The views are stunning. However, in our room we had a clump of dried curly hair in the shower, fingerprints all over the glass window, and one of the bathroom lights was not working. In my mother in law’s room, the TV wasn’t working, and even the reception staff couldn’t get it to work. Considering we were there for 2 nights, it wasn’t pleasant.

Convenient location if you’re visiting Pepperdine as it is the only hotel on campus. It’s a bit odd, as it was clearly converted from an office building or classrooms. Not a lot of amenities but close enough to drive anywhere and the view is absolutely stunning.

Check in was a mess. No recognition of my Expedia status. In fact, we even asked to pay for a better room because our room was horrific. No better than a motel six and I’m being kind. The hotel was near empty. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if it was the last hotel on earth.

A diamond in the rough in Pepperdine

It was a complete surprise that at the top of the beautiful Pepperdine campus nestled in the hills were executive suites with sweeping ocean views. The decor was a bit corporate… But the beauty of the local and the staff were superb. And the price was unbeatable during high season. Something just down the road comparable was $1700! A real gem!

Who would've known this property was available! Not to mention the views from here are breathtaking. A beautiful place to relax, take in the views, and read a good book. My room wasn't bad. I would've rather the ocean-view though, but it's ok. There were many outdoor benches and tables for me to sit and enjoy.

Wish they had king beds. The towels were the most luxurious I've ever had in a hotel. The real glasses and mugs was nice instead of plastic cups that I encountered elsewhere nearby.

This hotel is part of a university. It's quiet, a lovely, well appointed room with a great view of the ocean from high above. There is no restaurant, lobby shops,etc., but you can buy a water or snack and the college has a nearby cafeteria. It's a short drive down the hill into Malibu with plenty of options. It's half the price of other Malibu hotels. It's a find.

The staff was awesome and the hotel was modern. The only negative was that the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me but I would stay here again. Amazing place to stay in Malibu.
