Cute, Convenient walk to Zuma Beach

A quaint motel on/in a cliff overlooking the mouth of Zuma Beach. Walkable to the beach in 10 mins. Room somewhat updated but property in need of some TLC. We were able to bring our well behaved Husky. Driveway is steep so be ready for a good walk down and up. Angle in parking by rooms is convenient. Have to back out or turn around to get car out of where the main California Bungalow type row of rooms is. Each room has a private balcony. Pets enjoy that as did we except it rained, and it isn't covered but for a few feet. All in all, would go again. Very nice staff. Quiet area. Lights inside rooms and in parking lots way too bright for my taste, but that's me.

The closest three restaurants are boarded up and closed. It was about a 10 minute walk to the closest gas station food wise. You’re gonna have to take a lift.

Can’t review accurately because I never stayed at the inn. My reservation happened to be during the LA fires which made it impossible for me to travel (due to road closures, evacuations, and the city literally being closed) yet the inn denied my refund.

Disgusting establishment!!

Horrible place! I had left an expensive necklace on my the nightstand and when we got back it was gone! I made a police report. Do not go here unless you want your items to get stolen!! As soon as you walk into your room the stench of urine from the bathroom takes over. Towels had blood stains and hairs attached to them.

Cute inn with heated pool. Great location. Restaurant under repair and not open during my stay. Heater unit wasn't really working.

This is an older property with some deferred maintenance on the grounds, but it was absolutely perfect for us. Staff were awesome and the rooms and property are full of character - thoughtfully decorated with actual artwork and other special touches. Beach is walking distance, and the views from the property are dreamy. This will be our go-to place from now on!

Nothing works, none of the sockets works, nor fireplace, broken blinds, lights in the bathroom, not the outside lights works, bathroom tub is broken, even the toilet paper holder missing. Looks like the whole building will be bulldozed soon… so why the heck did the hotel is in business. Even the night front desk guys just ignored our requests. Nothing works and paid high $$$. We demand full refund.

The attendant was bathed in an awful perfume I was allergic to. He asked why I was coughing. My room was awfully cold and the heater could not keep up. Then, I found there was no lock on the patio door leaving me vulnerable. I am an older single lady and prefer to be locked in to a room. The slats on the windows did not function correctly either. I'm left as soon as I realized there was no lock on the door. I was told I wouldn't be charged. Will see!
