The chic and well-located Holmes Hotel offers both a comfortable night's sleep, and decor inspired by London’s most famous consulting detective. Walk to Regent's park, shop along Baker Street, visit the Sherlock Holmes Museum, Baker Street, or dine in one of the many nearby restaurants...all just a short walk from the tube. The staff is polished and professional, cleanliness and service are both exceptional.

Location is the best aspect of the hotel. It is easy to walk around, with tons of bars, restaurants and shoppings and a subway station a block away. The hotel restaurant is very good, with high quality ingredients. Excellent breakfast package. In room dining is not very good, as options as severely reduced after 9:15PM. A negative point is the bathroom. It was too small, with no place to handle the towels, except by two handles right above the toilet (not hygienic and risk of dropping the towels into the toilet). Also, the bathing area was too open, so the bathroom ended up soaked after each bath. Another negative was the mattress. It was too old and soft. All in all, it was a good to very good option considering the price and the location.

We had a lot of issues with the hotel. It was one thing after another. Almost comical if I weren’t spending 400gbp a night. For families, the pull out sofa was terrible. Thermostat wouldn’t work so room was so hot. Lots of people complaining. They said there was nothing to be done, but why do they have thermostats in the room if they don’t work or do anything??!! Fridge was broken and the maintenece leaves at 5 so come home after a long day of sightseeing with food and you can’t get in the fridge without calling the desk. Lots of little annoying things that made for a crummy stay

The property was my most favourite to date to stay in London. Being in Marylebone was a perfect area, along with the shopping, dining and being nearby a tube when you take the tube. Another hotel I stayed in London wasn't bad, but service and accommodation by the staff by Holmes Hotel London far exceeded my expectation.

The Holmes hotel was cute and the location was perfect. The room for a family of 4 was very spacious. The rooms are in townhouses so the heat/air conditioning is centrally controlled by the hotel. I did not find this out until much later. Our room was 80 degrees Fahrenheit almost our whole stay with the staff telling us to try turning the air on low and turning it on and off. Even with two fans and the windows open it did not cool down enough. If the room had not been hot the actual hotel and location is great. I do not recommend breakfast if you are coming from the US as it ends early and there are many great options right by the hotel.

An excellent experience. The only problem was that I was unable to turn off the heat in the room which sometimes climbed to 25C. I accept that Air Conditioning is rare in the UK, but all I wanted to do was shut off the heating and let the room cool to a more comfortable temperature. Everything else about the Holmes Hotel was excellent.
