The location is unbeatable: you can get almost anywhere in England by train, bus or tube. The staff is friendly and helpful and the units are spacious. Across the street is Eataly for great Italian food and there are pubs and restaurants in the station and nearby. The only drawback is the street noise from the pubs and drunks is very strong and goes on past 1 or 2 am, so interior suites are desirable.

The apt. was a bit past its prime, but the real problem was the elevator was broken and we (A 79 &78 yr olds with rheumatoid arthritis) were on the 5th floor. Thankfully we were only there one night. A man helped us get our luggage to the apt., but after that we were stuck as we weren't going to try the stairs again. We both contacted the rental manager via their email and got no response. When we left the following day the man was helping others with their luggage so we were on our own.

Lovely apartment in a great location with a tube station nearly opposite the building. We were able to leave our bags with reception before we checked in, and the apartment was very large and had a brilliantly equipped kitchen. Was a tiny bit noisy in the early hours of the morning, but the only downside really was a service charge added at the end which we were not prior informed about. Overall we would definitely stay again.

Bit of a wait to check in once we arrived with all our luggage. Then we found out the lift was out of service and had to walk multiple times with luggage up four flights of stairs. Room was not as pictured on the Expedia page. On the positive side, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and there was ample drinking water in the fridge. Staff was friendly and helpful. Disappointing because the listing showed one price and that price then jumped up by $79 when we went to book and then only to find out the lift was out. Less than stellar experience

I have stayed that this location, 3 time a year for roughly 15 years. Clearly i like the location, staff . However the last two times i have stayed, the elevator broke down and for myself and offers walking the stairs can be a chore. Fortunately I was on the second floor.

Let’s start with the positives- Location is central if you’re on business in the financial district. Many good restaurants and the area is “happening “ in general. Rooms are spacious and the feel is of a serviced apartment. That said, the building itself is old and could use some renovation. The reception area is small and the receptionist not very welcoming and the room was not serviced even once during my 4- night stay.

Our biggest complaint was lack of communication that the elevator was broken at least a week in advance of our 5 day stay and no one notified us. Having to walk to our penthouse room was quite exhausting and greatly impacted our stay and enjoyment of the room. Being seniors it challenged our joints and cardio health. We would leave in the morning and return once in evening, too challenging otherwise. Other than that the stay would have been quite nice.

We stayed with a group of 13 (in 4 units). The stay was almost perfect. The units were nice, kitchens were well equipt, beds were soft and comfortable, and furnished nicely. The front desk clerks were friendly. There is a Tesco a few doors down which was convenient. The Liverpool St station is across the street. There is a nice night life all around and the Spitafield Markets are around the corner offeringseveral amazing restaurantsand shopping. We would definitely stay there again. Our only complaint was the lift was out of order and we were on the 5th floor! They didn’t offer to take our bags up, and having just come in from Southampton on a cruise....we had many! We managed our bags. I don't think they had a gym, but who needs one after climbing up and down 6 flights of stairs several times a day! I hope they got the lift fixed. We didn’t see mich work being done during our 4 day stay. We would stay again, but maybe not in the penthouse if the lift is down.
