The room was clean. The staff are very helpful. Only issue was noise from construction not able to sleep after 8 am. Very noisy after 8am. Also not able to see outside at all because the window was covered with plastic paper.

In general, the hotel was good. At check-in, the staff helped with moving around rooms so we could get connecting rooms. The breakfast was wonderful. We ordered some room service as well, and it all went pretty well. We did have an issue with the temperature in the rooms. It was pretty hot in Lisbon, and the A/C in the rooms were not cool enough. Additionally, the hand soaps in both rooms were empty and we had to call in for more soap. The body was as well got over, and we ended up using the hand wash instead.

Dependable quality Hotel with a choice of pillow hardness (so rare in Portugal) with onsite restaurant. Service at reception v good but very slow service in otherwise quiet restaurant disappointing (25 mins to get drink is not acceptable with 5 staff and 3 tables occupied!) biggest gripe is lack of milk with tea and invisible tea-spoons. What is it with Hotels and tea spoons?

The hotel was under construction. Of course we had no idea. It was very loud and dusty. The manager Layla was horrible. they refused to make any changes to my reservation. I would not recommend this hotel. The staff is terrible.

The price was good but the pool is right under the Lisbon airport flight path so dont expect to relax there. Every single electronic piece of equipment in the gym was broken. The carpets and doors on the ground floor with the gym and pool was beyond tired. The room and the cafeteria were good. Staff very helpful.

Our stay was disappointing overall. The air conditioning was ineffective, the fridge was utterly useless, and even after being moved to another room, the problems remained. Housekeeping was inconsistent — the floors weren’t hoovered on one occasion, and when we asked for the duvet to be changed, we were told it wasn’t necessary, although it was eventually replaced. Daily maintenance noise also made it hard to relax. While staff did respond to complaints, the overall comfort and service fell below the standard we expected from Novotel.

This hotel is terrible. The staff is terrible. The manager is super rude. She doesn’t try to help in anyway. The hotel was under construction. It was sooo dusty. They should have noticed us of the construction before we got there. We tried to change our room because the banging was absolutely terrible but Laila (manager) said no. Never ever staying at a Novotel again
