Beautiful location in the heart of Lisbon, easily walkable to major attractions of the city. I had a great corner room on the top floor with balconies looking out into the plaza. My bathroom had a bathtub but no shower, which I would have preferred. The hotel lobby is non-existent.

The Story Figueira has a good location which is fairly convenient for getting around. We had a horrible experience with the hotel in that the first night when we checked into the hotel, my husband was so tired that he felt asleep on the bed (without lifting the top bedsheet) and I didn't want to wake him up so I didn't turn on any lights and just lifted the bedsheet and went to bed. The next morning when I woke up i felt something on the bedsheet, I tough it and saw a couple of brown spots on my side of the bedsheet. I initially though its chocolate but then when I turned on the light and blinds I realized that it's feces. I got furious and went downstairs and told the receptionist. She asked me why I did not find out the night before and I explained to her the reason. She sent a couple of ladies from housekeeping and I took pictures and asked them to change all my pillow cases and sheets. My husband and I had to wash all our underwears, pyjamas and wipe down all the headboards, coffee tables, faucets etc. I then spoke to the hotel manager Alfonso Santos, front office manager in person and in whatsapp. I am shock that Mr. Santos did not even apologize but simply said the sheets have been changed. I then whatsapp the contact on the hotel card and he responded saying that the hotel offers "impeccable" standard of service and he "firmly stands by his staff and company". My husband and I own businesses in Canada and we would never ever treat our customers this way.

A great hotel experience

A perfect place to drop your bags for the Camino de Santiago. I dropped off my bags after staying one night before flying on to Paris for the start of my Camino experience. I retrieved my bag upon my new returning reservation. The staff already had my bags in the room awaiting me. The food is a geat value and expertly prepared. It is very welcoming to be offered a free arrival drink. A great hotel experience

Check in was quick. Check in counter is oddly located right next to the bar area. The hotel is centrally located, making it very convenient to get around especially on foot. The rooms and halls are very dark and gloomy, making it not very warm and inviting. Rooms were spacious with high ceilings. Breakfast buffet had a good variety of options.

Perfect experience

Fantastic service and the whole experience for the visitor had been well thought through from free welcome and leaving drinks, simple reference guide to traveler info, and they spotted (I think from my passport) it was my birthday and sent cake and wine to our room.

Staff great, excellent location with plenty of restaurants nearby. Room a little small..but all clean with a comfortable bed. Worst thing was air con...controlled by staff via till and with several bedrooms on the same circuit it meant when someone complained about being cold our air con was also turned off and our room quickly got to 25°and was far too hot for sleep. Good choice for breakfast but not so much towards the end of service. Very happy with the evening meal we had one night. Overall good value for money and would certainly return

Location is the winner here! The hotel is newish, but standard rooms are very small. I had the one that faced the side of the building and it was always very dark in the room. The reception staff is okay, but not warm or very friendly (which came as a true surprise). Also, please note that there is no lobby of any kind there- you open the door and step into a very busy restaurant. This was also strange. So, would I be back? No, I’ll look for a better boutique hotel in Lisbon. But you won’t regret it if you’re set to go there.

We enjoyed our stay at My Story Figueira. The staff on reception are very helpful & a shout out especially to Patricia who on our last day assisted us with our Taxi when a lot of roads were closed off for a run. The hotel dining room is lovely & the food very good. The breakfast is plentiful but a little more guidance from the waiting on staff would be useful, pointing out the tea & coffee arrangements & also letting you know that the eggs need to be ordered from them, they show no interest in helping you. The bedrooms however are tiny & there is only space for hanging clothes everything else had to stay in the suitcase, not one drawer. It's ok once you learn how to keep out of each others way. The hotel is in a great location for getting around, close to tram stops, taxis, the train station which we used to get to Sintra (very easy) & 2 lifts just around the corner to get you up to the castle. Many thanks once again to reception who helped us with all our trips out especially to Sintra.

It was an immaculate property with amazing friendly staff. We just had few hours of bad stench during our stay (the staff informed us that some cleaning was taking place). But other than that we had a fantastic time. Loved the location - walkable to Rua Augusta and numerous places to eat.
