I have stayed here multiple times and have enjoy my stay every time. Only regret is that I need to get dressed when I leave. Bummer.

Great place and a great breakfast in the morning. Very talented people own this place and make you feel at home. The place is a bit of an art gallery with custom pieces, local art, and info. Kelly appears to put her heart into making her guests feel welcome, comfortable, and well fed if that is a part of your adventure. Plenty of parking for the amount of people that can stay there.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Puna. It is in the heart of the area and they regularly host events, which can be fun to attend. They have a cafe at the reception area with some healthy food options, mostly pre-made.

Perfect place to stay for a couples getaway if you’re visiting The Big Island. Staff were always able to help whenever we needed them. Being greeted by Coconut Jake every morning was the perfect way to start the day. Greeting Miss Kitty in the evening after a long day of fun and adventure was a treat as well. Rooms provide all the things you’d need when on vacation: beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, hair dryer, bathroom supplies, etc. I could go on about all the great things about this place, but the ratings and reviews speak for themselves. Just book it!

Unfortunately, the room had a strong musty, mildew-like odor that reminded me of an old attic. We had to keep the dehumidifier running 24 hours a day just to make the room more tolerable. The smell made the room feel dated and significantly impacted our comfort during our stay. The location is a major advantage, as it’s very close to Volcanoes National Park, making it convenient for exploring the area. If you’re only planning to stay a night or two and mainly need a place to sleep, it may be adequate. However, we stayed for five nights, which was far too long given the comfort of the room.
