We spent 4 nights at the Royal Yacht, and the weather was appalling. Luckily we were able to use the pool and gym if we didn't want to venture out. The location is great for walking into the town, literally about 5 mins walk at the most. I was there to watch my local team, Sheppey Utd, play against The Jersey Bulls. The walk to their stadium took less than 20 mins from the hotel. The bus station is about a 2 minute walk. I'm very envious of the Jersey public transport system, and a taxi rank is about 30 seconds away! We were happy with our room , up on the 5th floor. Pretty poor view, but you can't have everything! Bed was comfortable, very 'strong' shower and a bath which we didn't use. The room was kept clean. Our interactions with the staff were all very good, everyone seemed friendly. My only disappointment was the breakfast. I thought there would be a bit more choice with, for example, the fruit, just appeared to be a mainly melon fruit salad, and the cooked menu could have been a bit more comprehensive, but of course, it was an adequate breakfast. I would be happy to stay there again, maybe next football season!

Fantastic location for a short break in St Hellier, with lovely staff. All of the staff at the Royal Yacht were amazing, they were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, lots of choice, freshly cooked eggs and no limit on how many times you went back! we also had a meal in one of the hotel restaurants, The Grill, which was amazing. The room was spotless, but, and here is why I cannot give any more than 3 stars. We booked a twin room which was on the fourth floor so we would be far enough away from the Christmas party noise, which it was, but we could not have the patio door open as we were right next to an extractor fan that was on full blast 24 hours a day, imagine trying to sleep next to a jet engine?! Also unfortunately the beds were so hard I actually had to check to see if there was a mattress on there.

The hotel staff are fantastic the room was great the food and service at breakfast was five star as was the spa, the lack of sleep because of the rowdy drunken behaviour at the hotel outside bar area was horrendous the noise was terrible

The Hotel was in a very good position, rooms were clean and large, breakfast was freshly made, the hotel was very handy for the bus station and therefore the Airport, fares were 2.55 for any trip on the island

The room could do complete make over the sink was blocked the window was badly fited drafts coming through air condition unit very noise . Food v/good staff v/good . We where in the old part of the hotel on the third floor to get to our room we had to walk a flight of stairs and walk back up stairs to get the lift no lift to second floor we are o a p just to let people know who are less mobile M &M

We had a great stay at this luxury hotel in a excellent central position. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The spa is very good, offering a lovely pool and steam/ sauna rooms. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Food also excellent. Well positioned for the town and bus station. We would recommend it.
